Start by creating a project that explains why you would be a good fit for Octagon (I made a video), then they bring you in for in person interviews in which you make a presentation on a recent and relevant sports/entertainment deal and why you believe it was good or bad.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Portland, ME (took 3 months)
I applied for the Octagon Experience online in January 2011 and I got an email back around mid February. They said I was a finalist and I had to interview with someone from the Portland office. The guy who interviewed me didn't seem like he knew what he was doing and originally it was supposed to be a Skype interview but it turned into a phone interview. It just seemed weird from the beginning because he didn't even ask me any questions about my strengths/weaknesses or past experiences.
Other Details
I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview.
