Interviewed Aug 2010 in Minneapolis, MN (took 3 weeks)
Received a phone interview approximately 3 weeks after initial application. Asked several questions, basic questions about my current job, etc. Nothing too difficult.
They told me how the position came about, the process, etc, and mentioned that I was the most qualified on paper. They were going to forward my application on and I would be hearing back in a few days. It has been over a week, no call.

Interviewed Jul 2009 in Eagan, MN (took a day)
I was a walk-in and asked if they were hiring. They were hiring a few people at the time because it was back-to-school time. The interview questions were pretty generic such as why do you want to work for OfficeMax, what would you consider to be your strengths or pick one item in the room and try to sell it to me. I was then given the chance to ask some questions. I made it a point to ask them questions about what managing an OfficeMax is like and how long would it take the average person to move into a Assistant Store Manager role. I believe these are questions that they really liked. I was then offered a position on the spot and the only thing that was left for me was a drug test which I passed. This interview was nothing to sweat about, if you're used to the generic interview process you should be fine.
