No Offer – Interviewed in Aug 2009 – Reviewed Aug 29, 2009
Interview Details – I applied for an entry-level position on Ogilvy's website and received a call from HR a little over a week later. The HR manager explained that I would be hearing from an interviewer in the near future to set up a time to interview. A couple days later, I received an email from the interviewer. She gave me several interview times to choose from (the interview was about 4 days after I received her email). The interviewer called promptly and was incredibly friendly. I was very surprised at how little talking I had to do and how much talking the interviewer did. The questions were very straightforward and expected -- what kind of position would you like to have, what are your goals, basic questions about your past employment history, etc... The interview was about 30 minutes long. I heard back from the interviewer by email about 5 days later to learn that they would not be extending an offer to me. They claimed to have had a huge pool of applicants and the process was very competitive.
