Interviewed Oct 2011 in Millbury, MA (took 1+ week)
First you have to fill out a online quiz- it doesnt take too long and is fairly easy. They called me back in a few days and asked me a few questions about experience and availability, and then invited me in for an interview a couple days later. I went and spoke with the Customer Experience manager, not even in the office or back room, but off to the side in the middle of the store. Didn't ask much about experience, just about availability. Did a background check and then was invited back to speak with the Store Manager. Interview fairly the same- no real emphasis on experience and questions about availability. Offered me the job then.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in Sugar Land, TX (took 3 days)
I applied online around last month and got called for an interview around mid-December. The interview consisted of three parts. The first phase of the interview was set up with the manager, who asked a series of behavioral questions and availability. It was fairly easy, but make sure to answer according to how you would really answer and not how you would like them to think of you. The second part of the interview was set up with the recruiting manager. This, as she said, was the more "realistic interview." It consisted of me selling her an outfit that you picked out, persuading another store associate to get a rewards card, talking to customers and seeing how I would interact with them, and folding clothes. It was an evaluation process that basically saw how a potential employee would work for the store. The third interview was set up with the sales manager, who basically went over the things that were expected, dress, etc. I ended up getting the job. Some advice: be sure to be friendly, outgoing, and do not be nervous. Most Old Navy associates are really laid back, and those are the types of people they are looking. Do some research about the store, and be sure to know how to put clothing together in an appropriate manner.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Orange, CA (took 1 week)
I applied online (after filling out a paper application which was turned down since it's all online now), followed up via phone call to the manager, and was called a week after that to schedule an interview. I couldn't make the time she asked for so I asked for a different time if it was possible, she scheduled me an hour earlier and that was that. She seemed very nice and understanding so I was in good spirits. The day of my interview (first interview ever) I shook all my nerves out and walked in, telling one of the cashier's I had an interview and asked where to go. She pointed at a bench with a young man and a young woman. I sat between them and they seemed like they'd be better candidates than me due to them being a bit older. When the interviewer came out she was smiling and seemed very cheerful. She lead us to the backroom where of course as everyone has said---it was messy with clothes and very disorganized. She asked us to fill out a paper indicating our hours available and then we started the group interview. I answered about 3 of 4 questions and to be honest, I was WAY better than the other two candidates. I had sold myself well and they were saying all the wrong things and making themselves look bad. She promised to call us on Monday with whether or not we got a second interview but alas, she never did call. So I called a little later that week, she then told me to call the next week, and when I called the next week she had told me the 20 spots had been filled. Which perplexed me because I had done very well in my interview compared to the others. After the interview she was rude and did not do as she said she would.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took a day)
Went into the store to ask if they were hiring and the girl kindly told me they were and gave me a card with the website and told me to apply online. Filled out everything online and got a call a few days later asking me to come in for a group interview. Got there early on the day of the interview and had to wait at the front with the other interviewees until they were ready for us. There were quite a few of us (probably 10-15 people) and two managers interviewing us (one training/hiring and one merchandising) so we all sat in a circle in the staff room). The managers asked questions and we each got a chance to answer (no particular order, we each just put up our hand if we had an answer or just spoke if we had input, very casual). At the end we were able to ask questions if we had any and they told us they would contact us to let us know if we got the job or not. Overall it was a nice casual interview, a little bit of pressure since it wad in a group so it's kind of competitive but everyone was nice. Also, you introduce yourself at the beginning and the managers keep track of how often you speak and write notes on your answer so make sure you give a lot of input. It can be tough to give totally different answers than someone who spoke before you but try your best to make it sound unique...if possible. A day or two later, they called me and told me I got the job and I accepted. Loved working there and I would definitely recommend it!

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Paramus, NJ (took 2 weeks)
I went to the store in the mall (Garden State Plaza) and they told me to apply online. I recieved a call to schedule an interview a little less than 2 weeks since i applied. When I went in for the interview the hiring manager took me to the conference room or meeting room. He was very friendly and casual with me. He took notes on my answers and took me to the floor to see how I interact with customers. He scheduled me for a second interview during the first interview and told me he liked me and would like me to be apart of the team. The second interview was a week later and is basically the same as the first, its just with the store manager and she reads the notes the hiring manager took. This time they didnt take me out on the floor. The interview is about 15 minutes just be friendly and enthusiastic. Dress business casual (nice top, flats or dress shoes, black slacks). She told me she would call by saturday and called thursday to offer me the job. They didnt ask me about previous jobs because it would be my first job and im a senior in high school. If you were previously a babysitter put it on the application, it helps. My orientation is two days from now and im excited.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Greenwood, SC (took 5 days)
The interview process consisted of many situational questions. Nothing too hard, just be prepared to talk about unruly customers, issues you had to resolve and ones that you couldn't resolve. Also, know what the trends are for the season because you will be asked to speak about what you think the next "it" thing in fashion is, as well as your fashion sense.
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
There really was not much negotiation. You will be asked to come for a 2nd interview which is a group interview and you will be put in different situations around the store to see how you would handle real life situations. Afterwards, the group meets with the store manager where he will screen and ask questions. Nothing difficult, kind of like a getting to know you. Then, each of you are called back one by one and he/she will extend the offer to you.

Interviewed May 2011 in New York, NY (took 3 days)
I went online and applied. About a week later I got a friendly call from the HR manger, we talkd or 20 minutes before setting up a 1 on 1 interview. We met the following week and he asked the same questions he previously asked ont the phone, it went well and he scheduled me for a realistic interview. I met with another HR manager and my direct suoervisor. They spoke to me briefly and sent me on the floor to interact with customers. I impressed my manager and was hired on the spot.

I applied online right about a week after I turned 16. Two minutes before my application expired online, which I believed was 60 days after I applied, I recieved a call. I was asked about myself, if I could work weekends (I said yes and she liked that), and was told that they were reviewing several applicants & if my phone interview was okay I'd be called in for an interview.

I applied online to a different store in the area, then was contacted by phone and asked if I would be willing to work at the Bloomington store instead. I said yes.
