Interviewed Apr 2010 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 3 weeks)
I was having my master studies at Bocconi University. I applied to a summer intern consultant position at Oliver Wyman Financial services. Since I am a Turkish citizen, I interacted mostly with the HR manager at Oliver Wyman Turkey office. First round consisted of 3 1-to-1 case interviews with 2 partners and 1 manager at OW- Milan office. After a week or so, I have been contacted with the same HR person from Istanbul office and she told me that I'll have a phone interview with the partner and head of OW Istanbul office. The phone interview consisted of CV and case interview. It lasted for about 45 minutes. After 15 minutes or so, the HR manger called me again and told me that the next and final round will be in OW London office. So after 2 weeks or so I went to London (travel expenses & accommodation paid by OW). I had 4 1-to-1 interviews: 1 with a consultant, 1 with a director, 1 with a senior partner and 1 with the CEO of Oliver Wyman Financial Services. Having the CEO interview was by chance I guess, not everyone has it.
Overall the interviews were difficult but the consultants were friendly. And since the difficult was in math parts of the questions (which is my strong suit) I was lucky. In the end I got a very generous offer (2 days after the final round) for an intern and I accepted it.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
After applying through their campus recruiting program, I first was invited to take a skills test that consisted of a number of math questions. The test was timed so I didn't answer many of the questions (less than a third I think) but I was still invited to interview.
Afterwards, I had a 1:1 interview on campus. The interview consisted of two relatively straightforward case interviews with two different interviewers (one of whom was relatively senior at the company). I didn't receive another interview after that but they were very prompt in getting back to us with a response.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 2 weeks)
After submitting my resume and cover letter, I was contacted within a week for a first round interview. It consisted of 2 case interviews, one after the other, with two different interviewers. The cases were both heavy on quantitative analysis, which is what Oliver Wyman is known for.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 3 weeks)
Initially had a quantitative and logic reasoning test - each was 20 minutes and consisted of 30 questions. They were quite difficult and from the sounds of it no one completed the entire test. Once this phase was passed, two interviews with consultants were arranged. One was a case interview and the other a CV interview, each was 30 minutes. Decision and feedback were provided the next day based on the interviews. Overall was a positive experience and very well organized.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Chicago, IL (took 1 week)
I received an e-mail and was invited to take a "numeracy test," which was mostly basic math (algebra, probability, etc.). There were more questions than were possible to finish in the allotted time, but the problems weren't too difficult. A few days later, I received an invitation for a first interview over the phone. I scheduled it online by choosing a time on a predetermined date. The phone interview was pleasant and lasted about 30 minutes. The first five minutes were resume talk, then the remainder was a case interview. The consultant I spoke with called back a few days later to say I had not advanced to the next round of interviews and to give feedback. Still, overall a positive experience.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in New York, NY (took 2 days)
Two 30-minute on-campus interviews. The first was with a consultant. He asked me some behavioral style questions, and did a quick 5-minute case at the end. The second was with a manager. He gave me a complete case. He was nice in that he let me run over ten minutes or so to finish the case. Even though I didn't due too well (due to my not practicing cases enough), I came out feeling pretty accomplished. Probably because both interviewers were very friendly.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in New York, NY (took a day)
First round is two 30 minute interview (fit and case; order may change). One is a fit interview where we went over my resume and talked about my previous work experience. My case interview was based on deducing life insurance strategies and the risk involved. No number crunching; just rationalizing. I had to deduce different sources of revenue and target markets, and how these factors fit into the overall business. The case was very challenging.

Interviewed May 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 3 weeks)
The first round interviews (4) was very straightforward and consisted of mostly market sizing questions. The second round (4) was considerably more advanced, with complicated computational problems as well as strategic ones (will divesting obtain a bank's desired cost reductions). Although I did not receive an offer, it was a very positive and well managed experience.

Interviewed Aug 2010 (took 3 days)
1 initial phone interview with HR individual - simple questions about why I wanted to leave my current job, why I thought I would make a good consultant, would I be comfortable with the amount of travel required.
Then we set up 2nd interview, which was in person, and consisted of 3 interviews. All three individuals seemed young, they were all Manager level, and very pleasant. The office environment in general seemed very congenial. The interviews were a combination of case and "fit" (resume) interviews - one of them more case-heavy. One of the case interviews involved a credit risk issue.
Final round of interviews consisted of 5 interviews, with 3 managers and 2 partners. One of the partner interviews was entirely resume based and involved discussion of a current event related to my undergraduate major. One manager interview involved my knowledge of a specific type of legislation. The case interviews were not overly difficult, although one of them was very quantitative and left me a little puzzled (very statistics heavy). The partners were incredibly pleasant and easy to talk to, which is also true of all of the managers except one (a little cold, but not rude in any way). One of the partners asked a quick case question on how many red widgets there are in X country.
Ultimately, my quantitative skills did not meet their expectations, so I would suggest that candidates practice, practice and practice some more so as not to be so nervous you go in the wrong direction with your answer. They seemed to like when I drew out graphs or charts to demonstrate my thought process. They won't use the same cases twice, but just know that everyone seemed to use a case that was based on a project they worked on. Also be aware of that estimation case question (it's supposed to be a short one).
