Interviewed Apr 2010 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 3 weeks)
I was having my master studies at Bocconi University. I applied to a summer intern consultant position at Oliver Wyman Financial services. Since I am a Turkish citizen, I interacted mostly with the HR manager at Oliver Wyman Turkey office. First round consisted of 3 1-to-1 case interviews with 2 partners and 1 manager at OW- Milan office. After a week or so, I have been contacted with the same HR person from Istanbul office and she told me that I'll have a phone interview with the partner and head of OW Istanbul office. The phone interview consisted of CV and case interview. It lasted for about 45 minutes. After 15 minutes or so, the HR manger called me again and told me that the next and final round will be in OW London office. So after 2 weeks or so I went to London (travel expenses & accommodation paid by OW). I had 4 1-to-1 interviews: 1 with a consultant, 1 with a director, 1 with a senior partner and 1 with the CEO of Oliver Wyman Financial Services. Having the CEO interview was by chance I guess, not everyone has it.
Overall the interviews were difficult but the consultants were friendly. And since the difficult was in math parts of the questions (which is my strong suit) I was lucky. In the end I got a very generous offer (2 days after the final round) for an intern and I accepted it.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 4+ weeks)
The interviews themselves were not different from the average consulting interview - 15min competency based questions and 15-30min business case discussion. The tests preceding the first round of interviews are much more difficult that the usual IB online tests. There are no samples on the internet, while the best preparation might be GMAT type of questions with no data interpretation. The test also has negative grading, so my advice is to put a big emphasis on test preparation.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 1+ week)
Invited for a numerical and verbal reasoning test at the company's offices in London. Each consisted of 30 multiple choice with 20 min time limit. Numerical test much harder than expected (I personally solved only 10 questions). Verbal reasoning slightly easier (solved 22). Passed first stage and invited for a case study interview a week later.
The interview included talking to two different consultants. Somewhat casual approach from both interviewers so no need to panic.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 3 weeks)
Initially had a quantitative and logic reasoning test - each was 20 minutes and consisted of 30 questions. They were quite difficult and from the sounds of it no one completed the entire test. Once this phase was passed, two interviews with consultants were arranged. One was a case interview and the other a CV interview, each was 30 minutes. Decision and feedback were provided the next day based on the interviews. Overall was a positive experience and very well organized.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 2 days)
The interview consisted of one group task, 3 case study interviews and 1 CV interview. There was also lunch provided and an opportunity to speak to a number of recent graduate recruits to the firm.
The group task had 8 people in, and lasted one hour. We split into pairs with each pair given one task. We had to read through some data, and try and find the key bits of information. Then we had to present what we had found to the rest of the team, and to someone from Oliver Wyman who was asking an the team manager.
In the CV interview, I was asked to expand on parts of my CV, and asked general competency questions.
The case study interviews all started with a general chat, sometimes about my CV, or just other questions. Then we worked through one particular case, which took about 20 mins. All the interviews were, in total, about 30 minutes each.

Interviewed May 2011 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 3 weeks)
The first round interviews (4) was very straightforward and consisted of mostly market sizing questions. The second round (4) was considerably more advanced, with complicated computational problems as well as strategic ones (will divesting obtain a bank's desired cost reductions). Although I did not receive an offer, it was a very positive and well managed experience.

Interviewed Feb 2010 in London, England (United Kingdom) (took 1+ week)
First sat a numerical test - the maths was very easy but it's basically impossible to finish all the questions on time, and they penalise you for incorrect answers and I think they reward you for making no mistakes. You need to pass the test in order to move onto the second round, which consisted of a group interview where we had to solve a business case and present it to some consultants, three case interviews and a CV interview. Case interviews weren't too difficult but varied a LOT from interviewer to interviewer - one was more of an informal chat on price discrimination (in relation to Tesco mobile), another just wanted me to do maths. In the CV interview the interviewer presented a case involving a PR scandal and asked how I'd handle the situation, in the role of the director of the firm under (true) accusations - however after talking to other interviewees it seems like my interviewer was the only one who did this.
