Interviewed Dec 2011 in Barrie, ON (Canada) (took 5 days)
Received an email from a corporate recruiter to fill out about 15 questions about why you want to work for Citi etc... Received a call from the branch manager a few days later to schedule an interview. Culture in the branch seemed very somber...no one really spoke to one another or seemed overly friendly. District manager said the role is boring. They simply read questions off of a sheet.

Reason for Declining
Mutual...expect a lot of mixed communication, received an offer over the phone and later an email outlining the conditions. Manager said they would call to set up a time to meet and go over everything...that call didnt come. Called every day for about a week and a half to not hear anything back. Finally got in touch with a branch manager who said they were disappointed how it was handled...very mixed communication...decided it was not a good place to work.

Overall positive experience, pretty fast communication between the recruiters and branch management. Asked lots of behavior questions, nothing technical, backgrounds and job duties. The wait after interviews can be fairly long though.

Was asked to do a phone interview at 3:30, I agreed. The lady called around 4:00, so a half hour late. The questions she asked made it seem as if she did not have my resume in front of her. Questions she asked would easily have been answered if she took a second to look at my resume, for example "where have you worked" or "what position did you hold in your last job." This alone turned me off to the company.
Another thing that turned me off was the hours are 2 Saturdays a month, and work Tuesday and Thursday nights.
After this, I pretty much threw the interview as I don't want to in for another round, since I won't be interested in it.
The woman that interviewed me also seemed like she wasn't listening to me very well, as she asked me to repeat my answers a few times.

Applied online and took an assessment. Got a call from a recruiter a few days later. Interview was a standard sales interview (tell me about a time when you had a difficult customer...etc). The pay is way too low and you will have to work weekends. I wasn't given the opportunity to ask questions about the position. They didn't ask about my education at all. Seems like they just want warm body's to answer the phone and do collections.
