Had applied directly to the company via a linkedin ad. The Recruitment Team contacted me within 2 days, had a fairly long chat on current work (non technical), compensation etc. Was told that they will contact again if needed.
Got a call from the Recruitment team again (within a few days I believe) and attended a face-to-face interview with the manager of the team. The interview was at their office, went for about an hour and a half. It was more of a casual conversation about the work I have done, rather than a strict formal interview - and this really made a big difference.
Got a call from the Recruitment team again (within a week) and attended another face-to-face interview with the a member of the team, the manager and the HR. Was told to do a presentation on a recent deployment I had done with emphasis on architecture, was told to showcase technical documentation or articles I have written. The HR had some standard questions like the motivation behind joining the company etc. The manager also asked some interesting "people" questions about my interaction with customers. All in all, the interview lasted about an hour and half, and went quite well.
Got a call from the Recruitment team within a few days and we discussed about offers. Exactly a month after I applied, they made an offer.
Interview Question – Though not unexpected by any means, there were questions on 'generalizing' my life, which I am not good at ("How would your colleagues describe you"?) answering. The technical part was very straightforward - there were no challenges at all, and the questions centred around architecture (eg: Extended ECM), deployment methods, lessons learned, modules used, work done on customization etc. Answer Question
Negotiation Details –
Had an initial call to discuss numbers. When I told what I was expecting, I got a straight answer that they wont be interested in going forward. Was asked a number below which I will say NO to the offer and was offered exactly what I put there.
On hindsight, I should stuck to a higher number, but hey, hindsight doesnt carpe diem!

Interview Details – A recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn. I asked some basic questions about comp and travel. Responses were guarded at best. I'll likely consider an onsite interview, but definitely am leery based on the less than positive feedback posted here. This interview should be enlightening, and I will post more information as it becomes available. Thanks Glassdoor for the insight you provide.

Applied online heard back from the recruiter within a week or two from my submission. Scheduled an informational phone interview with the recruiter. A few days later HR followed up with me and scheduled a in person interview with the hiring manager, the hiring manager's boss and a team member. All the interviews went well they asked typical interview questions. The interviewers were pretty candid and honest with the challenges their business unit has. The hiring manager where all nice and approachable. They wanted to see some work samples which I sent that evening. I didn't get to see the office or observe the work culture. I had a follow-up call with hiring the manager the next week to gauge ny interest.
I received an offer the next week contingent on a background and credit check. It took about three weeks to get my results back which I felt was a long time I was told this is normally how long it takes. The hiring manager did a good job following up with me during this entire process. The one thing that was a bit annoying was I had to check in with HR about the background and credit check they should have reached out to me letting me know everything was fine.
Interview Question – Why are looking to leave your current job? Answer Question
Negotiation Details – Always negotiate for more because you won't get a raise or a cost of living increase. Don't let HR pressure you to make a decision right away.

This is a tricky hiring process because OpenText outsources their HR to a company called SourceRight Solutions in the US. The initial interview was with HR, it was a simple screening of my qualifications. I couldnt ask a lot of questions because the interviewer wasnt too familiar with the position (1st red flag).
The next interview was with the Hiring Manager, an actual OpenText employee. She called, but asked me to call back; to save a few pennies on the call. Her words, not mine.(2nd red flag). The interview was typical with a job decription and background review, it lasted 1hour; It seemed to go well. However, there was some confusion if i would operate in Canada, US east coast, or west coast (it is a virtual position). That can be a little tricky if you cant work odd hours to compensate for the time zones. (3rd red flag).
I next interviewed with another dept manager, and that was more like a reaffirmation of my skills. He too knew little of the position, since he was new to his own position, one week. He ended the call saying HR would be in touch in a day or two.
After 10 days, i reached out to the hiring manager, she made no reply to my voicemail or email. After 2 weeks, i made several attempts to contact HR. They too made no reply to voicemail (they never answer their phones) or email. I was put off by their HR outsourced company. They give you no more than 48 hours notice for a pending interview. After seeing other reviews, i see this is common. I guess thats ok if your unemployeed and have oodles of free time to juggle your schedule. But i am more disappointed with the fact that when you have a question (who doesnt in an interview process), there is no one that will answer your call or reply to your email.
After 3 weeks (so much for the "day or two") since my last interview with no word from anyone at OpenText or SourceRight Solutions, I accepted an offer from another firm.
After reading the reviews on this site for OpenText, im glad things worked out for the best, for me.

Interview Details – The initial screening interview was completed by a HR representative. This was an enjoyable experience as the rep took the time to completely discuss my qualifications. This was above the normal in comparison to other such interviews. The next stage was another phone interview with 3 bodies. During the interview itself, the normal type of questions were asked. But I was left with uncertainties on the steps that would occur.
Interview Question – Do not recall any of the questions as being unexpected. Answer Question
