    Interview Details

    We had a written test followed by 4 rounds of technical and 1 HR round. After discussion with HR asked to leave . No response from then. The technical rounds comprised of details questions from java and j2ee in detail. Asked to design and write a couple of algorithms like reversing a string,
    finding a prime number from a given set of numbers also asked to design a whole website and other things rainging from database design or workspace management

    No Offer letter after clearing 6 hectic rounds

    one of the waste interview process i have ever seen ;6 rounds for 3yr exp guy and each round of min. 1 hour are you kidding me ?, what i noticed is questions asked are 90% same in all the rounds then what is use of 3 technical rounds just time waste.

    After clearing all the rounds ,i dint get offer from them

    Just for sake of 25k they rejected and selected other guy who accepted for less offer without asking me for salary negotiation

    too many rounds. Technical rounds were too long.
    First it was written. mainly based in SCJP,
    2nd technical interview. Covered all subjects to Computer Science
    3rd technical interview. Write progammes for testing logic of a developer
    Next round how creative you are.. You need to give a small presentation too

    Minimum three rounds of technical interviews followed by a HR discussion. Interview is based on basic technical knowledge and not much into specifics. The first interview would be taken by a team member and next would by managers.

    I applied through an employee referral. The process took a dayinterviewed at Oracle in July 2014.

    Interview Details

    Went for walk in drive held at Hyderabad.
    There were 7 rounds in total. First written , 5 technical and the last techo managerial HR round.
    All rounds were comprehensive, check knowledge of java as well as data structures and coding techniques. Have to write code for different problems provided to you giving stress on the optimized solution (like checking the complexity of the solution and all).

    The interview process was properly planned - Good planning!
    Interview panel comprised of 2 guys.

    My interview tip for being selected by Oracle ( the DOs):

    1. Should be honest - if you did wrong, say it, and say that you learned lessons from that.
    2. Should be strong in Manual concepts (terminology) and should give real examples.
    3. Should know the process (though it varies company to company).

    Very routine manual questions:

    Priority
    Severity
    Test plan
    Test Strategy
    Test techniques (ECP, BVA etc).
    Low severity - High prioirity incidents
    How to deal with resources who are too slow to work with.
    If you created new concept, explain it. This always helpful.
    Logic is also important

    Got interview call directly from the HR team of Oracle Hyd, this was regarding an SDET (Java+Selenium) position with guys having 4+ years of experience.

    Interviewer directly rolled into the process, it was a hot day and interview happened in their campus but in a non AC cabin and no water as well to ask for.

    Questions:
    JAVA:
    1) Write a java program (using pen paper. no system, no eclipse IDE to help), to take an input from user and return whether its a well ordered number or not..
    2) Write a java program to find the biggest palindrome of the string entered by the user.
    Ex:: User input is ABABABAAAB
    This string has following palindromes, ABA, BAB, BAAAB
    Our program should return the biggest string of these i.e, BAAAB
    3) Explain public static void main
    4) Can a static variable be called from a non static method.
    5) Explain system.out.println
    6) Explain Packages with examples
    7) Explain Libraries with examples
    8) Is it necessary to have public in main method?
    9) How to we execute some code before main method if we want to?

    SELENIUM:
    1) WebDriver architecture on paper.
    2) Wait statements in webDriver
    3) How to handle Window Alerts? (Not JS alerts on webpages)
    4) What are capabilities in selenium and what parameters does it take.
    5) How to use RC commands in WebDriver.

    Interview Details

    After receiving a mail about an online test for recruitment at an IT biggie, I attempted an MCQ test which described few concepts of SQL and asked a question about the described concept. It was pretty easy. Post this, I received an e-mail inviting me for an interview at Oracle Hyderabad. The interview was held in 3 rounds - 2 Technical and 1 HR. The technical interviews were logical and analytical abilities and the HR interview was about any earlier / existing offers and availability to join office. The interviewers first ensured that I felt comfortable and only then proceeded with the interview.
