I applied through an employee referral and the process took 6 months - interviewed at Oracle in September 2010.

Interview Details – The hiring process was extremely long and several people will interview you. Expect to be very repetitive because they will all ask the same questions. Technical questions were in line with the work requirements but the process should be consolidated to one senior person and not have the entire senior staff to interview you.

Interview Question – All the questions were in line with the work being applied. Have not found any unexpected questions or difficult ones as I was applying for a job that I already knew the technical aspects of it.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – No room for negotiation. They offer you the X amount and that is about it. Either take it or leave it.

The process took 4 weeks - interviewed at Oracle.

Interview Details – Process is to pass through a series of 3-4 interviews with each one specializing on a specific skilled subject matter.

Interview Question – Looks for indepth knowledge on the Oracle Database. Specifics of how it would operate in specific senarios, i.e. slow report generation, specific tuning approaches and database design principles and how to implement them using the Oracle database, i.e. Star Schemas and transformations.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – They offered me a respectable % increase to what I was making. They stress the bonus dollars in the negociations, but they are not required to have a 100% payout of the bonus.

I applied online and the process took 2+ weeks - interviewed at Oracle in March 2010.

Interview Details – initial contact was with former co-worker after seeing posting for position. after applying, contacted by inside recruiter, once cleared that hurdle, spoke with the hiring manager via phone, received the offer within 2 weeks

Interview Question – Most annoying thing was the background check used in the hiring process, very cumbersome/slow and not accurate   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – Typical back and forth. they did come up on salary, but would not budge on vacation time off, I was at 4 weeks for my previous job, but Oracle starts you out at 13 days, regardless, so that was painful

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 3 months - interviewed at Oracle in May 2010.

Interview Details – Very stringent process. Goes through multiple rounds. Interviews are pretty detailed. And you need to know your subject. Mere bluffing will not take you through. And usually there are no salary negotiations. Either you take it or leave it.

Interview Question – Why do you want to join a Product Company?   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – No negotiations.
