The next step was to talk to a peer in the role on phone. Next step is an in-person interview. Its been more than a month. They schedule in-person 2-3 weeks out. I have been told they are still very interested. Interestingly this position is not on the main job boards. I had talked to this recruiter in the past.

Very Difficult Interview
I applied online and the process took 2 months - interviewed at Oracle in January 2009.
Interview Details –
Hiring process has been changed alot from past 6 years. When I got interviewed, I went thru 8 rounds(all technical). followed by a VP round.
Now the process has been changed entirely. They just take 2 technical rounds and 1 managerial and the last would be VP round. Quality of interviewing has been reduced in 6 years(perhaps because of lack of skillful resources in market).

Because this is your first and last chance for compensation negotiation. Later for years, you will be in the same compensation. Hardly you get pea nuts.
