It was Okay They sat me down and asked me a few questions nothing out of this world. They really pressed that we had to be super polite to people because thats how the store gets it money pretty much. It was a pleasant interview.

I submitted my application online to the company and after completion, i was able to select my interview date on a calendar. Interviewed Apr 2010 in Capitola, CA (took 4 weeks)
A friend who shops regularly at OSH told me she'd seen a sign announcing that they were hiring 2 cashiers and sales associates. The application was online. I got an email response the day after submitting it. I was invited in for an interview, and emailed back and forth with several different people trying to arrange a time. Eventually one was settled upon. I was told to ask for a person (whose name I've since forgotten), and was told by another employee to wait for her in the upstairs break room and how to get there (it's a big store).
The interviewer was late and had been rushing around. While she was quite friendly, I got the distinct impression that she wasn't paying attention to me or the interview, but that dealing with me was just another task on her very long list. She'd ask me a question, and before I could complete my answer, she would interrupt me to answer the phone. The she'd ask me a new question, apparently having forgotten or not cared that I hadn't finished answering the first one yet. This happened three times -- I was asked a question, interrupted while the interviewer answered the phone to deal with something else, and when she was done she'd ask me a new question. I never got to finish answering any of them.
Once she was done, she thanked me for coming in and said I should hear back one way or another by the end of next week. The end of next week rolled around and no response. Not wanting to be a pest but not wanting to miss an employment opportunity, I called back a few days into the following week and asked to talk to the interviewer (same person), who told me that they were still interviewing and running behind and that they were in the midst of their busiest time of year for both hiring and sales (spring). This happened twice more: "We haven't made our decisions yet, but will contact you at the end of next week," the end of next week went by, I waited a few days into the following week before calling back to ask if I were still being considered.
After almost a month of this, I was able to get the interviewer on the phone (I called her), and she told me that they had gone with another candidate. I found the whole process to be very frustrating. While did my best to be very polite and gracious about it all, I feel like they were stringing me along.
