Interviewed Mar 2011 in Dallas, TX (took 2 weeks)
Starts off with a recruiter calling you and telling you about the position, during which they will ask you a few basic resume questions to screen. Then they set up a face-to-face interview with the district manager you will be working with, usually a week later. During the f2f, DM asked me to do a presentation on a made up inhaler sales piece that he had; gave me a minute to study. Other than that, it was mostly situational questions (STAR format) and resume questions. After interview, recruiter called back to tell me I had another phone interview with regional manager. That was more a meet and greet phone interview. Manger spent most of the time explaining the position (I was pretty confident I was getting the job at that point).

Interviewed Jan 2008 (took 2 days)
PDI is a pharmaceutical contract sales organization. The company has contracts with pharma companies (large and small) and provides a salesforce. The initial application process was an online assessment. Next, I had a phone interview, and finally I had 2 face-to-face interviews. In the first interview, the district manager gave me a sales aid and made me give a short presentation. The next interview was with a different district manager. I didn't get the job - but I didn't really want to be a contract sales rep anyway. It's better to work directly for a pharma company.
