The called. Did short phone interview process. Called me day after and I had a group interview with 6 other people. It was very interesting. If you want the job speak up and dont be shy. If you are dont bother going to the interview.

it was simple, questions about if you are comfortable with working with animals and what types of animals you have. if you have retail experience, but this place will hire anyone because this is an entry level position that does not train or pay you extra for knowledge on animals.

I'd heard that a new PETCO location was opening in my town, so I applied online. I received a call for an interview about a month and a half later. Since the actual location isn't opened yet, our interview took place at a career center one town over.
I wasn't told it was a group interview until I got there, and I was pretty nervous about that considering my past experience with group interviews. There were about 7 of us in front of a panel of PETCO managers. They had us take turns answering their questions. The start was a little rocky because a few people were late, and I was certainly pretty anxious. We started to loosen up, though, and the interview got better. It only lasted about 10 minutes, and they dismissed us afterward. I got a call the very next day for a job offer.

There was no negotiation. The starting pay was higher than California minimum wage, so I wasn't going to complain.

I applied online. Then, I walked into the store to talk to a person in charge of hiring. I spoke to a manager and set up an interview. I went in the next week to meet with them and they hired me at the end of the interview.

I filled out my application online and received a call the next day about an interview. I was scheduled for an interview for the next day. It was incredibly straight forward. I arrived about 10 minutes early and was promptly greeted by the manager and a supervisor. We went into the main office and they asked me question about my availability, personality, and gave me some scenarios. I was offered the job on the spot and starting working two days later.
