Interviewed Nov 2008 (took 1 week)
District Manager made process easy and was basically out for me, so not too normal, but DM's for the company are usually pretty cool.
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
They overshot my asking, which was surprising for the company, but it still is way below the norm for an Assistant manager in retail.
Other Details
I got the interview through a Recruiter.

Very easy. The manager and I hit it off right away and we talked more about our similarities than what my goals were as a PacSun sales associate.

Interviewed Mar 2010 in San Antonio, TX (took 3 days)
I went into the store and filed an in-store application. The managers were happy to help me with any questions about the company and the position I was applying for. The interview came as a surprise to me. I was asked a few basic questions, but was then thrust into an impromptu scenario where i was posing as if I was already a store associate. I was given a name tag and put in the front room, greeting customers and helping the, find merchandise, get fitting rooms etc. Though I wasnt expecting it, I really enjoyed this interview and it gave me a unique look into what it would be like to work there before I was even hired.

Interviewed Apr 2007 in Chesapeake, VA (took a day)
I received a call just over a month after I applied in person in the store. I was asked to come in for a group interview that was conducted by the store manager as well as an assistant manager. The three other applicants and myself asked a series of informal questions about our history, as well as a few fun or silly questions. We were then told the what our pay rate would start at as well as what kind of shifts and hours would be available upon our hire.

Interviewed Jul 2009 (took 1+ week)
Everything was actually very good--initial contact with manager, 2nd interview with hiring manager and all the people I met during the process were great. The only reason I didn't accept the job was because I needed a full time job and they only had part time available. If they had had a full time position, I would have loved to work there becauase all the people and the environment seemed great.
