Security Officer Interview

Security Officer
Vancouver, BC (Canada)

I applied online and the process took a day - interviewed at Paladin Security Group.

Interview Details – 3 interviews with three different people. Awful experience. Seemed that they are not hiring a Security Guard, but a Vice President for the Company. Told that I would have to undergo 4 days training, but didn't tell that it will be an unpaid training for FULL 4 days.

Negotiation Details – Ask them about the wages before they hire you OR you sign the contract. Ask for a copy of the contract. Just don't be scared.

Site Supervisor
Burnaby, BC (Canada)

I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Paladin Security Group in July 2009.

Interview Details – I heard about the job through word of mouth and then applied via the company website. I was put through a thorough selection process, which included multiple interviews, background checks and written tests to rate my competency. HR and senior management made sure my assignments matched my skill sets and allowed my role to evolve over the years based on my knowledge and experience.

I applied online and the process took 3 days - interviewed at Paladin Security Group.

Interview Details – A fairly straightforward process. I was given about 20 multiple choice questions on English grammar and a short narrative to write. After this I had three consecutive interviews; the first to tell me about the position, the second to ask about my experience and qualifications and the third to ask some more searching questions about my personality.

Security Guard Interview

Security Guard
Calgary, AB (Canada)

I applied online and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Paladin Security Group in September 2012.

Interview Details – I had to complete an on-line application and then got called by the office to attend for a personal interview. The on-line application had an english test and asked the usual biography stuff.

At the office I met with the recruiter and had a 1/2 hour interview. I was told that my references would be checked and I'd be called later with the results. About four days later I got called to meet with a manager for a second interview. The manager aksed me a few questions mostly about my background and what I wanted to see from the company. He said I was pretty much hired but he wanted to make sure I fit where I was going to be assigned.

Interview Question – Tell me about a time you failed at something.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – I only really talked about when I wanted to work and a bit about what part of the city.

I applied through a recruiter and the process took a day - interviewed at Paladin Security Group in January 2009.

Interview Details – I talked to a female HR in person and did a 5 minute interview. I was told by a female HR if I was to be considered, I must be comfortable working night shifts as they were at that time hiring for Night Shifts position. At that time, I wanted to become a police officer and I have mentioned that I comfortable working any available shifts and entry level position as at that time I had no security experience. One week later I was called for an interview and one week later I was hired.
