I applied through an employee referral and the process took 5 days - interviewed at Paychex in March 2012.

Interview Details – The interview with the contract house was simple and more about getting informed than proving that I was the right candidate for the position. The contract house was asking for experience that I have yet to see a need for at the position.

Account Executive Interview

Account Executive
Henrietta, NY

I applied through college or university and the process took 1+ week - interviewed at Paychex in June 2008.

Interview Details – The interview questions are read off a list and they go through them 1 by 1 to see how you would answer them. I interviewed with two people (one man and one woman). Very uptight at their office in Henrietta, NY.

Financial Analyst I Interview

Financial Analyst I
Rochester, NY

I applied through other source and the process took a day - interviewed at Paychex in April 2012.

Interview Details – They made me take a math test which was no big deal. I was hired through a temporary agency so I never took a drug test. I did interview for another position, but didn't get it. However, they hired me quickly somewhere else. Lots of growth in the 11-13$ range

Interview Question – Nothing really.... just questions like name a negative and positive about yourself. Also... try not to be too nice if you are going for a collections job. That is the interview where they said I was "too-nice" to work there   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I asked for an extra .50 cents and they said no

National Sales Support Interview

National Sales Support
Rochester, NY

The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Paychex in July 2008.

Interview Details – The interview process for Paychex, Inc. was very intense. After interviewing with large IT firms, I would say that this interview format is rather typical. A two to three hour initial interview and then one or two more depending upon the individual doing the hiring of the same length is rather typical. Tough process and the slightest thing can confirm your hire or denial.

Interview Question – Why Paychex?   View Answer

Negotiation Details – There is no room for negotiation.
