I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at PennyMac in November 2012.

Interview Details – I interviewed on two separate days. Once with the manager and a second time with a panel of other employees. Everyone was very nice and friendly. I had an offer within 3 days of the panel interview and started a week and a half later

Interview Question – Most of the questions were pretty straightforward. I did have one person tell me they were afraid that I would leave after a few months because I seemed like someone who gets bored easily.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – I didn't negotiate very much as I was desperate for work. Fight for a better starting salary.

I applied online and the process took 2 months - interviewed at PennyMac.

Interview Details – I submitted my application for a Loan Processor position through their website and then got a telephone Interview with Recruiter who then referred me to the hiring manager. I then had an in Person Interview with Hiring Manager
The interview was a very easy, no brainer interview with the usual template questions.

Negotiation Details – None, there is no room for negotiation

I applied through a recruiter and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at PennyMac in November 2012.

Interview Details – I had two in person interviews. One with the person who would eventually become my boss, and a second interview with her and her boss. Neither interview was very revealing in regards to expectations, company culture or environment. Interview questions were very general.

Interview Question – None were very challenging.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – There was no negotiation process at all. It was a contract to hire position, and both the hourly rate and salary were both predetermined.

I applied through other source and the process took 2 days - interviewed at PennyMac.

Interview Details – PennyMac conducted an expected interview process that included meeting and interviewing with various employees that supervise or interact with the position the company is seeking to fill. The interviews were conducted over a two days of interviewing and involved speaking with seven different people. The questions seemed relevant to the position responsibilities and company goals.

Interview Question – I didn't expect being asked to perform a problem solving exercise during the interview process. It would have paid to have reviewed McKinsey's interview tips for this type of interview.

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at PennyMac.

Interview Details – Half day of interviews. Very engaging and collegiate upper management team. One of the few company's where HR give you responsive feedback.

Interview Question – All questions were highly relevant to position responsibilities and company goals. Company has great self-awareness and knows what it needs from potential recruits.   Answer Question
