I applied online. The process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Perceptive Software in August 2012.

Interview Details

You take a technical test. If you pass (not sure what a "passing" grade is) then you get called back for an interview with 1 or 2 team leaders. If that interview goes well you get a final interview with the Manager. Finally you get an offer.

Interview Questions
  • There were quite a few Linux commands in the technical test. One question you will get asked involves your opinion on what is more important: finding the solution for your customer or rapport with the customer.   View Answer

They really wanted to know within 48hours if I would accept the job or not. They sent me all the benefits to review. I kind of wished I had longer to decide incase I got any other offers, but it's okay because who wouldn't want to work for this company?

    Application Details

I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months - interviewed at Perceptive Software in February 2009.

    Interview Details

Began the interview process with trading phone calls In November with HR. Got invited in December to come in for a basic test consisting of scripting logic, how I would respond via email to a costumer, and questions over other basic IT knowledge. After this, I was invited back to talk to my would be bosses, who were really nice, and seemed to have a personality match with. Was told to wait about two weeks and would hear back from the HR rep. Two and half weeks later into January had to call back and was told by the HR rep that I would be offered a position but didn't want to commit to that, and also that I was second on their list to fill a couple of positions available, and I should wait two more weeks. Asked if I could be bumped off their list at this point, was told no, could only be bumped down. Two weeks passed, no phone call, come to find HR rep is ignoring any inquiries.

In a nutshell, people seemed nice, interviews were relaxed and be prepared for a general IT quiz. Take any word from their HR with a grain of salt.

    Interview Questions
    • Questions about trouble shooting client and server programs, which relates to their software you'll be supporting. Also some scripting logic questions that basically x equals something before a function, what will it be after the function completes.   Answer Question

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks - interviewed at Perceptive Software in May 2010.

    Interview Details

I have a lot to say about Perceptive Software but I will keep this brief. Sometime around May of
last year I saw a posting on Careerbuilder for a Product Support Engineer. I applied for the position
a few days later I received a phone call from HR.

    * Had phone interview, went well
    * was ask to come in and take written test, did well
    * was brought in for face to face interviews with 2 team leads, went very well
after speaking with the 2 leads I interviewed with their manager, went OK
I was given the .. we will let you know in about 2 weeks line ..

    * 3 weeks later I had not heard I contacted the HR person and was told that they are
still in the interview process but I was still in the running, they would be in touch

    * 2 weeks later still no work, I contacted HR and was told that the managers were out of town
       on business.

    * Another 2 weeks still no work, once more contacted HR and was told they will be making a
selection soon, I was still in the running

    * About 10 days later I receive an E-mail saying that they were moving on with another candidate

    * I have noticed that the same job posting still runs about every 2 - 3 weeks on the job boards.

** Any current or former employee care to offer any input? ***
