3. Competency Behavioral Interview
Behavioral interviewing is interviewing based on discovering how the interviewee acted in specific employment related situations. The logic is that how the interviewee behaved in the past will predict how he/she will behave in the future, whereby this interviewing technique believes that past performance does predict future performance.
Some of the questions that they might asked :
• How you handle conflicts
• How you manage a team

4. Role Play
You will be asked to do a role play together with the interviewer. There will be three separate cards which represent three different situations i.e. (Manager vs. Staff rep, Manager vs Teacher & etc). The interviewer (staff representative) will try to provoke you (manager) with various arguments. You will have to stand up for your principle and at the same time maintain the professionalism. The whole idea of this exercise is to examine your sense of empathy, integrity as well as professionalism.
In role play the interviewers will see how you progress with each card. The new card demand thougher role play than the previous one. Should you handle well he will pass you another card. It indicates good progress.
However sometimes the interviewers could not see clear indication how the candidates stand and he will pass on to a new card to see how the candidate handle it and compare it with his view on the previous card.
Be confident and have an open mind. View each situation considering all angles, ie the business that you in charged, environment ,the staff, people affected by the business and finally the nation and the world.

Interviewed Feb 2011 in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) (took a day)
It was for an expat position. One to one Q&A section. A bunch of interviewers sitting on the other side of the table. 1 Manager, 1 senior Engineer, and a HR person were there. Surprisingly the interview questions are back to basics. It can be about your CV. The worst part is that they didn't reimburse for your travel.

Interviewed Jul 2009 (took 6 months)
The first session attended was only for me to get to know the company and my potential scope of work. it was the 1:1 chit chat session - which then i realized i was not interested with the position available and offered to me. Then, i was called for the second interview - consists of group/panel interview. Questions asked were mainly about my current work scope and how can i contribute to the company's growth. Then i was interviewed by phone by the HR person. Followed by requirement to answer some online IQ and personality tests. Final interview is by some cross function panel from the company before i being offered the position.

Interviewed Aug 2010 (took a day)
I was a student at PETRONAS University of Technology and I was offered to do the Structured Interview during my final semester. Before the interview I had to do an electronic ability test consisting of many questions to question my IQ/Intelligence. A few weeks after that it was announced that I was selected to do the interview with the HR people coming to the university.
There were 2 interviewers. They were really friendly. The interview consisted of 3 different parts: Background and personality check, Case Study (in my case it was a problem between the tourism industry and the environment) and Role Play (I had to act as a police officer handling the parents of a lost child).
And they also questioned my personality based on the assessment I have conducted before via online.

Interviewed Feb 2008 (took a day)
The interview process is depending on the interviewer itself. Basically if you meet the kind-hearted interviewer they will just chattering with you without asking any technical questions. But basically you have to come prepared because there are sometimes the interviewer will ask about the engineering stuff like that.
