Interviewed Oct 2007 in Chicago, IL (took 2 weeks)
Phone interview went well. No hard questions. General interview questions. Know the company and be able to respond using STAR responses. Was told within 48 hours that I had been moved to the next round of interviews. It has been almost two years and I haven't heard anything, but it's ok because I'm no longer interested in that field. I just thought it was pretty unprofessional to tell me someone would be calling me with the next interview time and they never did.

Interviewed Oct 2007 in New York, NY (took a day)
I was contacted within a week of sending in my resume and the interview was scheduled for the following week. All in all, I didn't do very well because of the interview format. At Pfizer, they use panel interviews and I was questioned by three women with several "have you ever been in such and such a situation and what did you do" sort of questions. I knew this going in and I tried my best to prepare for it, but for me it was difficult to recall relevant situations and I guess that's where I failed miserably. I was disappointed with myself but also disappointed in their interviewing technique since I felt I wasn't able to talk about what i knew I could offer the company. There was definitely the feeling that this was their interview, I felt that there wasn't very much interest in what I wanted to ask of them. If preparing for an interview at Pfizer, be sure to prepare by thinking of as many situations as you can. I think the key is to show that you know how to handle different work situations.

Interviewed May 2009 in Istanbul (took 3 days)
At first they came our campus for an IQ test. They called me back 3 weeks after the test for a group interview. At group interview they gave us a case about a local bank. I passed the group interview. Then I went for a 1:1 interview for marketing position. It was actually a hard interview in which, the woman asked me questions about the company about myself and about everything. 2 days later they called me again for another interview but this time for finance. They said they wanted to assess me for finance. I said ok and went back to istanbul again. The interview only took 5 minutes in order to see if I was really interested in finance. And they refused me next day for both marketing and finance.

Interviewed May 2009 in New York, NY (took 2 weeks)
First Round was a phone interview that mainly focused on fit (why interested in Pfizer and healthcare, etc). It was about 30 minutes.
Second Round was a series of 4-5 interviews in their NYC office. One was a case presentation and the rest were very much like the phone interview. Each interview was about 30-45 minutes.

Interviewed Feb 2009 in New York, NY (took 2 weeks)
Was impressed by the office and its convenient location and enjoyed my initial conversation with the HR person. Subsequent interviews with the hiring manager and a subordinate were not as interesting. In fact, I interviewed them more than they interviewed me and it was kind of boring. The job sounded interesting to me, but it turns out they felt I was overqualified, so I did not receive an offer.
