    Interview

Electronic application where resume is submitted. Resume is reviewed and if a position is available, an HR representative will call to ask initial questions. If the initial screen shows a person has the experience and credentials for the job position, an aptitude test will sometimes be needed before continuing to the next interview stage. If the aptitude exam is satisfactory, the next interview will be with the supervising manager. A decision will be made based on that interview.

    Interview questions [1]

    Question 1

I would say the most difficult question would be the one a person doesn't know. The interview process is only to find people that are suited for the job. If a person doesn't know the answer, it's likely that person hasn't prepared for the interview or isn't capable of doing the job.

      Quality Supervisor

Recently had an interview with Philips, for Senior quality engineer role. Qualification and experience matched very well. HR introduced herself as being an of a particular country. She didn't had to say where she was from. It didn't bother me. I answered every question with confidence. I was ticking all the boxes in her list. after a week, I get a default email, that I didn't get the job even without the technical round. Clearly she was racist! I was discriminated based on my appearance.

        Lead Business Consultant

Was laid off 6 weeks ago and I have two opportunities that I feel good about. One with a consulting firm (ABC) and one with an industry company (XYZ). I have 1 more round with XYZ and I was verbally told an offer would come from the ABC. I want the industry offer, but given it's not guaranteed, I'm not sure if I should 1) decline the ABC offer if it truly comes through and wait or 2) accept ABC offer and leave if XYZ comes through, thus burning bridges and setting a bad reputation. Thoughts?

        Call Center Agent

Is it possible to not be given a job offer because the background check is taking too long to clear? I was essentially given a contingent verbal offer last Friday, but they wanted to run the background check before they gave me an official offer.
