Interviewed Sep 2010 in Littlestown, PA (took 1+ week)
I was primarily the only employee in the plant with up to date training and experience with CNC work. We have an older knee mill with CNC controls. Being a union shop and this job being the highest labor grade experience and skill were the primary factors for me getting this position.

Interviewed Aug 2010 (took 2 months)
First process was a telephone interview, asking about the company and work experience.
The second process was a one on one interview with the Hiring manager and HR manager, further expanding on the company and asking a series of questions. This lasted about one hour.
The third process was an interview with the hiring manager and the general manager of the company, which was a quick getting to know interview. This lasted about 30 minutes.
After a week or so, they do the background checks. After this was complete, the contract was signed.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Memphis, TN (took 1+ week)
The process was initiated with a telephone interview by the HR. I was called onsite after a week. I was interviewed by the R&D manager and then given a tour of the lab where I could interact with the employees. After lunch with the manager, there was a skills test. I was later interviewed by the HR and then the General Manager.

Interviewed May 2009 in Eindhoven (Netherlands) (took 1 week)
Standard Interview - First looked at resume, then personality/fit questions. Then went right into a case, basically you are asked how you would go about solving the problem that you will be solving during your internship.
My advice is to be very clear on what the objectives of your internship are before going in so that you have an idea how you will solve the problem when you're in the interview.
Overall this was not a difficult interview, but this is just one experience. Philips also has some real tough interviewers that I’ve had to be interviewed by since on several occasions. They are most concerned with your 'cultural' and 'work experience' fit with the organization. If either of those is not aligned, you will not even make the interview process.
