Interviewed May 2012 (took a day)
I had an initial screening phone call in response to an ad I answered on the internet. I was called the following morning and asked to meet the District Manager at a studio 50 miles away. We spoke for about an hour and she quizzed me on how I would handle certain scenarios, should the come up. She informed me of the background check I would need to pass to be hired. The following day she called and offered me the job.

Interviewed Jun 2011 in Broken Arrow, OK (took 2 days)
Studio manager asked basic questions like can you read, do you know how to talk to people. No questions were asked about photography and when I asked about it the answer was, don't worry, well train you.
I was then sent to the district manager and asked questions about my personality. I was asked if I had ever been in management before and if I'd like to be a manager. I was assured it was the only way to get hours and would be trained if they felt I was worthy of the position after a few months. I was offered the position the day after my training to be an associate was finished.

Interviewed Sep 2011 (took 5 weeks)
I recently retired and was looking for a part-time job. Interested in photography, I saw a "Now Hiring" sign at the local Walmart photo studio operated by Picture Me. I inquired and was told to apply online, which I did. In about four weeks, a studio manager called me for a phone interview and asked me to come in for a personal interview, which I did. The manager conferred with the district manager, who then conducted a personal interview. The interview process was fine and we got along well. When I called two days later to thank them for the interview, the manager was as cold as ice. I was not hired. Someone later called to explain they had hired a younger person "who had more experience." Right.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Eugene, OR (took 1 week)
I was walking through Wal-Mart and noticed PictureMe Portrait Studio was hiring. The woman on-duty told me they were hiring for a part-time 18-20 hours per week position.
Then the company requires you apply online. You fill out an application, upload your resume, and take a math test. The regional manager called me two days later and scheduled an interview with me.
The interview was conducted by two people: the regional manager and the studio manager. The interviewers were very friendly, engaging, hard-working women. I could also tell they were very interested in the bottom line. They had me "sell them" my cell phone on the spot. They had me get up and pretend to photograph a teddy bear (in place of a real baby). They explained to me the job is mostly sales: Walking around Walmart selling photo shoots to customers, calling people at home to book shoots, then selling big packages of photos to customers.
In the fall, they are only hiring seasonal employees. Then they will keep only a few of those employees after the holidays, when photo season is over.
I was offered the job, but decided not to take it. That's because the job only pays about $9 an hour about 20 hours a week, with no benefits. I figured I could find a better opportunity elsewhere in sales or photography.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
The pay was too low. No benefits. Only part-time work (about 20 hours weekly) is available to employees who aren't managers. The job is mostly a sales job, and I'd like to make more money if I'm going to be working in sales.

I Applied Online and the interview consisted of a Group/Panel Interview, a Skills Test, a Drug Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Jul 2009 (took a day)
This interview process consisted of a district manager asking me questions like what i did at my last job(s), simple math questions, what did I like about working with kids/ what didn't I like, sales experience. This company values sales experience over actual photography skill/experience. If interested in this job because of the photography aspect definitely have a good sales background/capability. Apply if you LOVE kids, because they aren't always at their best for portraits. On the day I went for my interview I had to wait while the interviewer finished a photography session that included a small child, some teens and 2 adults. After watching this I was very turned off by how the interviewer (district manager) treated the family. The DM spoke in a condescending way to child and parent alike with a baby voice over top of it. This was very prophetic of how other upper management treats customers and employees alike.
