I applied through an employee referral and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Piedmont Airlines.

Interview Details – After completing your application you are sent for drug screening and subject to a background check. Once that's done your enrolled in a 2 week training course. Depending on your location you may be sent to another city to complete the training. Flight, hotel, and some meals are paid for buy the company. The training is a of review of all company policies and procedures and safety guidelines. You are given several tests on the course material with each test given a point value. If at any point during the 2 weeks your point value drops below a pre determined amount you are dismissed from the class and disqualified from employment.

Interview Question – No really tough questions asked during the interview. They hire in large numbers and let the training course/background check thin out the herd.   Answer Question

Negotiation Details – No negotiation, wages are set and hours/work schedule is determined by bidding based on seniority.

Ramp Manager Interview

The process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Piedmont Airlines in September 2009.

Interview Details – Marvin called and asked to interview in CLT, although he said we would have to hurry since the only flight back was within 45 minutes. We rushed through the interview and still had time left for some questions. Overall a very positive experience, but the pay was extremely low for the position, which was for Ramp Manager in Austin, $35k. Was not offered a second interview, but this was OK with me since the pay and benefits are very low. Also, he did not seem to confident about the airline surviving over the next year or two.
