Interviewed Jan 2012 in New York, NY (took 2 days)
The initial contact was through phone interview and I was requested to come on a face to face interview. The interview took place in one of the stores prior to business hours. The place was clean and private but some crew were doing preps for the store opening in 30 minutes time.
The interviewer had an interview sheet and was taking notes during the interview. The interview outline was more focused on what I accomplished in my past positions I held and about my knowledge about Pinkberry.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Burnaby, BC (Canada) (took a day)
Pinkberry was opening at a mall close to me so I decided to email them my resume. Soon enough, I get a call to schedule my interview. I have no work experience whatsoever and I am still in high school so the requirements of getting an interview with Pinkberry in Canada is minimal.
There was only one short interview consisting of two parts. There was the traditional, getting to know you better, questions about your abilities and background etc. They also asked about how much you know of the company, luckily I looked it up beforehand so I had something to say. The second part of the interview was more hands on. You get a hat and apron, with a platter of frozen yogourt samples. Your job is to give them out and your interviewer watches how you do.
I have had several friends apply to Pinkberry, all but one got in. Here's the trick. Like I said before, there aren't many requirements therefore for a lot of the employeesPinkberry was their first job. The interview is basically interviewing your Personality. Let me say that again, Personality. You need to be enthusiastic and more of an extrovert. My unfortunate friend treated the interview as a serious professional one. She kept her fun side down and put on her professional pokerface. This gave the interviewer the sense that she isn't outgoing and cheery. Pinkberry is looking for a fun sociable team because that's essentially what Pinkberry is all about :)
My experience with Pinkberry has its ups and downs. The people are nice and welcoming, it's easy to make a 'second family.' The management requires some work. My biggest issue here is the scheduling. Our schedules change EVERY single week. Sometimes you work 22 hours then you suddenly get 4 hours. It's very difficult to plan around that. But they do try to distribute the hours more evenly, especially since majority are high school students. Pinkberry's main focus is customer service. We serve frozen yogourt with a smile and we introduce ourselves to make a meaningful connection.

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took a day)
The process was basically pretty easy.
I replied to an ad with my resume. I met the city wide hiring manager who was a big, bubbly, happy fun persona. I really enjoyed the interview. It wasn't like your regular interview at all! It was very laid-back. They call it an "audition" where you basically sit in the store with other people, and just talk/interact with them. You had to tell a story about a penny with your group members, introduce another person to an entire group after talking to them for 5-10 minutes, and we even got to taste Pinkberry! It was pretty awesome!! I really don't know what the people were looking for when they were doing this audition, but hey, I got the job despite thinking I didn't. About 3 days after the "audition", I was a Team Member!
I think it would be slightly harder for those who are more introverted and quiet, but personally that's how I am. If you just smile and just give off a positive attitude throughout the entire thing, act attentive, and approach every activity with happiness (lol) you're a shoe-in! :D

Interviewed Jun 2011 (took a day)
Pinkberry wants sweetly fake people who are enthusiastic; a good advertising technique on their part. There's 3 rounds to the interview. Round 1 consists of making a short verbal advertisement in front of the group with the info that the mangers give you. It's to weed out all the unenthusiastic and non- quick-thinker type of people out. Round 2 are the outgoing people set into smaller sub-groups and asked 3 unusual Q's. Round 3 are the winners. I got the the 2nd round and rambled on the questions so my suggestion is be prepared. Though in retrospect I wouldn't want to act all fake and giddy for 6 hours a day in the summer and am glad I got another job.

Interviewed May 2011 in Washington, DC (took a day)
I found an ad for the job on craigslist.com and so I contacted the person and received an email from them a few days later. In the email the manager had included the application and asked me to fill it out online and send it to him when I was done. So once I had finished that, I sent it to him and received an email about 2 weeks later saying that he wanted me to come to a group interview soon. I went and it was a really easy interview, me and the 2 other girls that were there got hired on spot.

Interviewed Apr 2011 in Houston, TX (took 1 week)
I had seen an add on Craigslist, so i replied with a resume and cover letter. The people that were there DID NOT LOOK PROFESSIONAL AT ALL. The majority of the group were high school children. The person replied that the interview would be at least 3 hours long. The interview process was 2 hours and 45 mins long. They asked that we interview the person next to us and introudce that person to the group. Then you were asked to make a commerical asking "Why do customers come first?" THEN....we were asked to do an advertisement on "cups". Once the group interview was done then the manager of the Store, Trainer and Supervisor asked indivdual questions.
YOUR DESK, CAR, AND BEDROOM which one do you clean first?
Describe the Pinkberry experience in less words as possible.
The advsied that they only PAY $8.00, which I thought was ridiculous!! However, that was for team members. Forunately for me I did not apply for the team member position, I Applied for Team lead position.
Once the inteview was over, they called everyone in one by one and advised them that they would be caling them back in 3 weeks when the store opens.
However, when I went in they advised me that I was the first employee of my particular area. I was very excited and they told me that during the mean time I would be assisting with events, office duties and such until the store opens.
The people were very friendly and very polite. Very welcoming and created a nice atmosphere during the interview process.

Interviewed Jun 2010 in Atlanta, GA (took a day)
I found an ad on Craigslist advertising for Swirler, Shift Leader, and Management positions for the South's first Pinkberry location. The ad was placed before the store had opened. In it, it stated that applicants should email their resume to email address posted, and asked to explain how they know of pinkberry. Anyhow, I was interested in a shift leader position because I had 3 years of experience in cafe food sales. So I emailed my resume and told them that I knew of Pinkberry due to its popularity among Hollywood stars.
Ten days later, I was given a canned response from Pinkberry. In the email, there was a word .doc application attached. I had to fill the form out and once it was received they would phone me to set up an interview. They called me, the day after I sent the application, but I missed the phone call. I called back a few times but got no response. I assumed they were busy because they were looking to open in two weeks. So I emailed them and they setup an interview with me this way.
The interview as an "audition." When I arrived I was in a group with about 20 people, most of them were teenagers and there were a few older people. After we got settled in, the managers told us that the interview would be "American Idol-esque." Next they gave us a sample of the yogurt. They gave us some information about the health benefits and the history of the company. After their speech was done, we were told that we are going to do a 30 second commercial about Pinkberry. They gave us about 15 minutes to get our thoughts together than called us individually to present our commercial to the class. Nearly everybody's commercial talked about how healthy pinkberry. Mine was no exception. Honestly, no one had a brillant presentation and everyone was pretty shy. After our presentations management divided us in two groups. Than they dismissed one group and kept the other. I was in the dismissal group.
The accepted group was full of young teens, looking for their first job and one lady in her early 30s. I was okay with not getting a job because I didn't like the yogurt and found the store too cramp. Not to mention they had already hired the shift leads and were offering swirler position at $8 per hour.

The assistant manager was really nice and friendly. She basically asked me questions about my last job and if I ever had an experience with a rude customer. I said no, but then she asked me what would I do if I did. Then she asked me to describe myself in 3 words.
