Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Grand Rapids, MI Oct 2011 – Reviewed Oct 30, 2011
Interview Details – I hired in through campus. They did a first round interview then brought me in for an office visit. At the office visit I had three interviews. One with a partner, one with a manger, and one with an associate. The partner was laid back and conversational. The manager was also laid back but had to get through a couple of interpersonal questions. The associate asked purely leadership and interpersonal questions (this interview was more intense and I did not care or the style). Be sure to know your leadership style and have multiple examples of leadership situations. I had lunch with two staff auditors after the interview. I was not overly impressed with their extreme use of interpersonal questions. I have interviewed with and received offers from some of the Big 4 and Plante was definitely more intense in their questioning process.

Accepted Offer – Interviewed in Toledo, OH Aug 2009 – Reviewed Jun 22, 2010
Interview Details – I was referred by someone who already worked at the company. Plante & Moran has a strong history. Partners and staff are proud of this, because it truly differentiates the firm from others. I referenced Plante & Moran's history often, which the partner liked very much. Also reference why you would choose Plante & Moran over other mid sized and Big 4 accounting firms.

Interview Details –
Interview was on college campus. Recruiter first asked me to tell about myself and then asked why did I choose to apply to Plante & Moran. Then I was asked about a lot of behavioral questions, for example:
•Describe a situation in which you were able to use persuasion to successfully convince someone to see things your way.
•Describe a time when you were faced with a stressful situation that demonstrated your coping skills.
•Give me a specific example of a time when you used good judgment and logic in solving a problem.
•Give me an example of a time when you set a goal and were able to meet or achieve it.
•Tell me about a time when you had to use your presentation skills to influence someone's opinion.
•Please discuss an important written document you were required to complete.
Overall, I had a pleasant experience.
