Interviewed Nov 2011 in Kent, WA (took 1 week)
The corporate recruiter called me from North Carolina and conducted a phone interview to make sure I was an appropriated candidate for a 1:1 interview. My 1:1 interview was with the Regional manager and took place while a few families were getting pictures taken and selecting photos for purchase. The staff seemed warm and friendly. The Regional Manager was very nice and wanted to get a feel for my sales background as well as my ability work with children and their families. It seemed like a fun and rewarding place to work if you are a people person and enjoy working with children.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Jacksonville, FL (took 2 weeks)
The corporate office sets up the interviews for full time employes, and the local studio manager holds a one on one. They are very interested in the ability to learn quickly and adapt to different situations. Must love kids. No photography experience needed. This is a sales based company that loves it's money.

Interviewed Dec 2010 (took 1 week)
Pre-screening interviews are generally conducted over the phone by a member of the HR department. The phone interview consists of questions relating to your availability, photography, and sales experience. If you pass the initial phone interview, you are then scheduled for an interview with the studio manager. The in-person interview may take 30 minutes or so. The studio manager generally asks questions similar to the phone interview and tries to determine if you are a good fit. Impress the studio manager and the job is yours. The manager then sends a review to the HR department, who notifies you of the hiring decision.

Interviewed Jun 2009 (took 1+ week)
It was a very awkward beginning. I had been a member on job board specifically for recent college graduates. I was intently looking for a position that required a degree. Well for some reason I kept having this position suggested to me by this job board. I considered the posted ad because of the higher estimated pay as a recent grad.
Well after being contacted by a location manager from a store located across town from the one I applied, I show up to the interview about 15 min early- as everyone says is good interview practice. It happened to be on a non-busy day according to the manager. But he somehow he forgot he had a group of families in to take some sort of elementary club picture. So about 8-10 kids all under about 12 yrs old are all yelling loudly enough I could hear them through the office wall during the pretty standard interview process.

Reason for Declining
While full benefits were available after three months the opportunity was strictly a retail position with not room for growth outside of retail management.

Interviewed Oct 2011 (took a day)
First, I received a call back from the recruitment manager in Charlotte, NC, and she asked me a few general questions about why I was interested in the job. She also explained all of the job's specifications. Then, we scheduled a date and time for a face-to-face interview with the store and regional managers.
I did not have to wait long for the managers to be ready for the interview. We talked between photo sessions and were polite and very friendly.

Interviewed May 2009 in Kansas City, MO (took 1 week)
I planned heavily for the interview, all of the typical questions are asked and the manager has no problem giving you a tour and letting other employees come in and ask questions as well. Every one was dressed nicely, it was a typical frantic day, but the manager very involved in the employees and the interview, at the same time- it showed a lot of managerial tallent and gave me a better respect for the manager right away. She took the time to do things that most managers wouldn't do, and she was on crutches for the interview. I dressed nicely, although I did go in a few days early to look around and get a feel for what the other employees were wearing, and I dressed similarly.
There was a phone interview and an immediate offer for a 1:1 interview.

Interviewed Jan 2009 in Charleston, SC (took a day)
Very rushed. The studio manager was in between sessions and short-staffed. I was basically brought in and asked about my some details on my resume. I was offered a job a couple of days after. I came in to fill out paperwork and it was more of the same rushed experience I had during my interview.

Interviewed Mar 2010 (took 2 weeks)
A joke. I interviewed with the studio manager. I thought he was very unprofessional. It was almost a joke. He asked stupid questions. Because I am professional, I interviewed very well and answered all the questions he asked. The next day, I received an email stating that I did not meet the qualifications. Who needs qualification to take pictures? NO ONE.

Interviewed Aug 2009 in Cranberry, PA (took a day)
I had met the manager already before I had applied for the position. I turned it in within a week and did not get a phone call until two months later. I got called in for part time position that may turn into a permanent position depending on availabilty. They needed weekends and holidays at the most. During the interview, the one who was interviewing was not the main manager, but seemed interested and said I would get a call back the following week, but I never did. Meeting sales quota was one of the main concerns to keep the position and very good customer service around family oriented clients. Problem solving with children was also key. The employees seemed young and friendly and their break room had very limited space. The breakroom was their interview room as well as a stock room. It seems that the employees aren't valued due to no lounge room to take a break from working hard. The main studio looked clean and their computers seemed up to date also. The software that puts out the pictures have limited editing options, whether the client likes a picture with low light it can not be changed.
