Interviewed Nov 2011 in Houston, TX (took a day)
I sent in an application and was invited to interview. On the day of the interview, I first met with a greeter who asked a few general questions (are you interviewing with other firms, why did you apply for this position). Met with the actual interview who was great. Asked a few behavorial questions and inquired about certain skills that were pertinent to the position.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Houston, TX (took a day)
I heard about the job posting through our university career website. Overall, it was on campus and a laid back experience. I made the mistake of being too comfortable and should have realized it was an interview. The partners and managers were very nice and made the interview comfortable. I don't think this was an actual interview but more like a interview greeting.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in Houston, TX (took 2 weeks)
First received a call from HR who did an interview for 30 minutes- mainly behavioral type- so get all the types of leadership and team setting questions off the internet and practice practice practice and come up with great stories for every single bad situation out there and how positively you handled them (and how you learned and matured from those situations). They try to look for well rounded people- so try to remember times you volunteered or were a leader somehow! Grades aren't everything to them at this point! They want to see if you're personable and trainable and whether you can work with people or would rather be left alone in the corner.
After the phone interview, I was invited for an office visit. The visit consisted of a dinner the night before the and then the office visit the following day. It's important to be at the dinner as you will meet other candidates (like around 50) and associates (around 20) from PwC-which will make you ALOT more comfortable! I'm guessing if you're at the office visit, you'll get hired unless you really screw it up. The interviews next day will consist of a manager and a partner or 2 partners for some people. They will be casual conversations. The partner one is more intense as he goes through your resume- so make sure you know EVERYTHING on your resume and have 1 or 2 sentences prepared for every description you have written for every job! You also need to go in with some good questions prepared and ask the interviewer questions about their backgrounds and how they got to where they are at- they absolutely LOVE talking about their achievements! Make sure to take their business cards and leave them a nice, short, personalized thank you note in their email inbox and make sure to write one thing you remembered that they said in the interview and thank them for their time! Do not mention your qualifications or write more than 5 sentences- you'll seem desperate! Then, as for the offer, you should hear the same day or the following day!

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Houston, TX (took a day)
I initially applied to the position through my university's career center website.
I received an invitation to interview for the position as well as an invite to a company dinner the night before the interview. The dinner was very large with around 80 students and 30 representatives from PwC. Overall it was a good experience, I sat with my interviewers as well as my competition and we talked about the company, hobbies, interests, and other topics.
The interview itself was very simple. I was asked about 10 behavioral questions in a 45 minute interview. They were basic questions related to group work, responsibility, leadership, etc. My interviewer was very respectful and polite the whole time.
The people I spoke to during my experience with the company all seemed very nice. It is a much larger company, so most employees didn't seem to know each other but were still courteous.

Interviewed Oct 2010 in Houston, TX (took 2+ weeks)
First had an on campus interview then got an office visit. They put me up in a nice hotel and then interviewed all morning the next day. The on site interviews seemed really rushed and it seemed like I talked alot. They were mainly one on one with one pannel interview with assoc. (about 1yr exp) for me to ask questions (although they had some too). There were some tech questions, but they were not too bad. All pretty much behavioral

Interviewed Aug 2010 in Houston, TX (took a day)
Previous comments about the interview process were true for me: initial phone screen, then a half day of interviews in the Chicago office. I found the three interviewers were trying to get to know me as a person - which is a good thing.

Reason for Declining
What I struggled with during the interviews was getting to know PwC as an employer. The former Bearing Point interviewers reminded me too much of ACN: too deliverable focused and not very strategic. Overall, not a good fit for me.

Interviewed Oct 2009 in Houston, TX (took 2 days)
PwC came to our university to recruit this semester and did a great job. The first interview was with a partner from the Houston office, and it was a comfortable setting because there was a pre-interview dinner the night before with all the candidates and a few staff members, and partners. The office visit was very relaxing, not difficult, but of course they are still evaluating as to whether or not you fit with the company.

Interviewed May 2009 in Houston, TX (took 4 weeks)
The process began with a presentation at the university, and then after Spring Break and another week was a dinner with the firm. The day after the dinner was the 1:1 on-campus interview. While the dinner was surprisingly relaxed and calming (and we were able to meet our interviewers beforehand), the interview seemed a lot more serious than expected...this might be a turnoff. A week after the on-campus interview, the firm contacted some students to invite them to continue recruiting (and also extended office visit invitations). There were two weeks of all kinds of recruiting events (games, meals, etc.,). The office visits were two-day affairs that occurred after the school year ended. The first night is a dinner (this time it was at a partner's house)...it is designed to be rather laidback, but one should always be aware and alert. The next day was the office visit, with breakfast and lunch, presentations, and three 15-20 minute 1:1 interviews.
The process is generally designed to be laidback, (except for interviews, which seem more "solemn" than the firm culture as a whole), so you might be lulled and then surprised when the tone changes. Everyone is assigned a professional as a buddy for the office visit, and the quality of the office visit can depend on the quality of the buddy. Keep in mind that even if you are invited to the office, this does not mean you will be extended an offer.
