Interviewed Oct 2011 in San Jose, CA (took 4 weeks)
The are two rounds of interviews held at the Company office site. Usually the interviews are held by a head recruiter and/or managers and higher position personnel.
There is one 1:1 interview during the first round, which lasts about 30 min. The questions are mostly behavior based and related to the resume.
Before the second round, there is a pre-interview dinner held usually by staff and seniors. The second round consists of Company overview presentation, three 1:1 interviews, and a lunch. The interviews last about 30-45 min each, and all have behavior based and resume related questions. At least one interviewer will be a partner. After the second round interview, candidates will usually hear back by the end of the same day for an offer.
Generally, everyone is very friendly (probably the most friendly employees among the Big4) and the office is clean.
Advice:
1) For on-campus recruiting, speak to the recruiters as much as possible at school organized events. Also, ensure to attend PwC organized events, and speak to recruiters and anyone above manager level. Recruiters will pick out who they remember when selecting first round interview candidates.
2) Always send thank you e-mails to interviewers after the interviews (usually within the same day), since not sending one could be detrimental during the recruiting process.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
PwC employees are known to have the longest hours to work among the Big 4 (at least for the San Jose office). It also takes the longest time to be promoted from one level to another (i.e. from staff to senior, and to manager), although the amount of yearly raise and benefit plans somewhat make it up.

I got the interview through a College or University and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in Philadelphia, PA (took 2 days)
The interviewing process was very natural. The first day I spoke to a partner, who asked me very simple questions about myself, my major and my current job. The second interviewer said that my resume spoke for itself, but she put the spotlight on me to ask her questions.
My advice for this is to not be nervous, and to just see it as a conversation. When they ask you if you have any questions, ALWAYS ask. Whether it be about the event itself, something about the interviewers background or some skill you would like to develop, asking questions shows that you are doing your homework and that you are meticulous and care. That's the type of candidate they look for.
I was called within two weeks of the interview and was told that I had been invited for the conference.

Interviewed Nov 2010 (took 4 weeks)
The interview process was well managed and went quickly. It was handled in a very transparent, professional manner.
Three cases were given, requiring knowledge of DCFs and other financial metrics, such as different types of multiples, for valuing companies.
Interview was an all day event and candidates interfaced with partners. Have intelligent questions prepared for the partner that you can share in front of a large group. Behavioral interview questions were very standard. I believe I did not receive the offer because I did not have a strong finance or accounting background. All other candidates had either banking, internal audit control, or other finance experience.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in New York, NY (took 1 week)
I was contacted by an HR associate from California regarding a resume I submitted some months ago and she asked me if I would be interested in interviewing for an internship in NY. About a week later, I had an interview. The first hour was just talking to what they call a "friend" and they just get lunch with you to ease you nerves before the interview. After that there were 3 behavioral interviews in a row, about 30 minutes, 1 with a partner, 1 with a director, and 1 with a manager. I would advise interviewees to try to relax and make the interview a conversation. They just want to see that you are someone they would want to work with. And ask a lot of questions as well.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in Irvine, CA (took a day)
Had a phone interview then 3 1 on1 interviews. Staff was pretty friendly and made you feel welcome. Do not get discouraged if you don't get it because internship is generally harder to obtain than a full time position.
