Interviewed Oct 2011 in Irvine, CA (took a day)
Had a phone interview then 3 1 on1 interviews. Staff was pretty friendly and made you feel welcome. Do not get discouraged if you don't get it because internship is generally harder to obtain than a full time position.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Irvine, CA (took a day)
We had a social event, and the associates and recruiter hand-picked a couple of students from the social after interaction and looking at resumes and Cover letters.
I was invited to a 1:1 interview with a senior manager. The interview was mainly behavioral, and I felt a bit uncomfortable throughout the whole interview.
Firstly, I couldn't understand a quarter of the things he was saying, so I had to keep asking him to repeat it.
Secondly, he kept staring at me without missing a beat throughout the interview as if he was drilling a hole in my brain.
Be prepared for behavioral questions, be prepared to also show your personality aside from just answering the questions. Interviews are a mutual experience, remember that.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in Irvine, CA (took 1 week)
The phone interview took place 2 days after I applied and submited my resume online. Interview questions were behavior questions, what's your strength, why you want to leave your current job, and why you choose PWC. The HR also asked about my salary expectation. A second phone interview by the department manager took place a couple days after the HR interview.

Interviewed Nov 2008 in Irvine, CA (took a day)
Initially I applied through the career website and was selected for an "on campus" interview. That consisted of a quick mini interview with an associate before the real interview with a manager. The interview for me was very laid back to my surprise but mostly because of the manager himself. After that I was selected for an "in house" interview which consisted of an interview with a partner, and two managers.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Irvine, CA (took a day)
So I got an interview with Pwc through my university by going to networking events and talking with recruiters. They called me in for an on campus 1 on 1 interview, and if they liked me they would call me in for an in-office interview, which I think was going to consist of 3 interviews with different managers. The lady i interviewed with was very nice and I met her a few days before at a dinner we had with Pwc, so I was somewhat acquainted with her. My interview was toward the end of the day after she had numerous other interviews, and I immediately got the sense that she was pretty over interviewing/ or has found the candidate she was looking for and no longer had a need to fill the position. She didn't really ask me any questions, she just chit-chatted for a while and I asked her more questions throughout the interview than she asked me. It was a very weird interview because it didn't contain any behavioral type questions the big 4 usually asks, and I had to really try to show skills and qualifications I had without it being awkward since she wasn't asking me any relevant questions. It was a very friendly conversation and I almost felt good after the interview because we had a nice conversation even though she didn't ask me any questions, so I kind of assumed she liked me. However, I did not get called back for 2nd interviews so I guess it wasn't the case. I'm pretty sure this isn't a very indicative interview of pwc since the one I had with Deloitte was much harder and had a lot of behavioral type questions which I imagine is what most Pwc interviews are like.
