Interviewed Apr 2011 in Florham Park, NJ (took 3 weeks)
Well, I was referred to the firm by a friend that had accepted to work there full time and so my process was a little easier. My resume was sent to a recruiter, in which she called me back within a week or so. I did the phone interview and eventually got invited for the Superday Interview(3 separate one on one interviews). To appeal to the firm, I feel it is important to be well-rounded. They want someone with a good G.P.A and some sort of activity such as involvement in organizations or work. Moreover, the interviews are not really technical at all. Just strive to be yourself. As long as they like you and find you interesting, you are good to go. I feel the interviews are mainly conducted to figure out what type of person you are.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in New York, NY (took a day)
I interviewed with both a partner and staff member, who really asked more about myself and got to know me versus past experience. He had my resume in front of me and asked me to high my top 3 points, and asked me more about how prepared I felt coming from the school he came from as it was 20 years later.

Interviewed Nov 2010 in New York, NY (took 2 days)
Had an on campus interview, and then came to the office for a second round. On campus was quick and brief, I waited about a month and then was told my application had been forwarded to my first choice location. I came in for superday and had a welcome discussion with HR with a group of other interviewees across different lines of service, and then had four back-to-back interviews with different managers. They then took us out to a lunch with some partners and associates. I got a call within a week with an offer.

Interviewed May 2011 in New York, NY (took a day)
I received an email from PwC campus recruiter about Assurance Winter Internship and that I was selected for the telephone interview. I completed my first round of interview over the phone where the interviewer basically informed me about the internship position and what it was about. She asked me two questions as to why PwC assurance and why winter internship. After that she said that I was selected for next round of interviews in the office, a PwC Superday. Everyone that were offered telephone interview were called for an in person interview. On Superday, we had a brief presentation about the company followed by questions and answers round with a panel, usually one manager, one director and a senior. Make sure you ask them smart and relevant questions because that will make you stick out from the pool of candidates. I had about 30 interviewees on my Superday. After that I had interview with 3 people back to back. There were behavioral questions but the whole process was more conversational rather than cut and dry questions. The interviewers were very calm and patient and my interview process went very smoothly with everyone. Once again, make sure to ask smart and relevant questions. Try to ask them about economic situation, changing accounting principles and how it affects everyone. Also, make sure you tell them about your future plans and CPA examination. After the interview process everyone was taken for a full course lunch. Over lunch, try to talk to everyone on your table and network. Each interviewee will be assigned a host who will be with you all the time, except when in an interview. Dress smart, be confident, professional and friendly.
