Interviewed Jan 2011 in San Jose, CA (took 2 months)
Since I was applying for a Director position I had to go through five different interviews with five different partners. All of the interviews have been done by phone (since I was oversea at that time) and I also used a recommendation letter from my partners in the old home office.

Interviewed Oct 2011 in San Jose, CA (took 4 weeks)
The are two rounds of interviews held at the Company office site. Usually the interviews are held by a head recruiter and/or managers and higher position personnel.
There is one 1:1 interview during the first round, which lasts about 30 min. The questions are mostly behavior based and related to the resume.
Before the second round, there is a pre-interview dinner held usually by staff and seniors. The second round consists of Company overview presentation, three 1:1 interviews, and a lunch. The interviews last about 30-45 min each, and all have behavior based and resume related questions. At least one interviewer will be a partner. After the second round interview, candidates will usually hear back by the end of the same day for an offer.
Generally, everyone is very friendly (probably the most friendly employees among the Big4) and the office is clean.
Advice:
1) For on-campus recruiting, speak to the recruiters as much as possible at school organized events. Also, ensure to attend PwC organized events, and speak to recruiters and anyone above manager level. Recruiters will pick out who they remember when selecting first round interview candidates.
2) Always send thank you e-mails to interviewers after the interviews (usually within the same day), since not sending one could be detrimental during the recruiting process.

Reason for Declining
PwC employees are known to have the longest hours to work among the Big 4 (at least for the San Jose office). It also takes the longest time to be promoted from one level to another (i.e. from staff to senior, and to manager), although the amount of yearly raise and benefit plans somewhat make it up.

I got the interview through a College or University and the interview consisted of a 1:1 Interview and a Background Check.

Interviewed Mar 2011 in San Jose, CA (took 2 days)
The first day is a common interview, one on one. I was impressed with this firms professionalism and attention to detail. They have a great system of interviewing that makes you feel less awkward about the whole process. Usually there is a dinner the night before, which is a great networking opportunity. The actual interview is very conversational, and I felt really relaxed with my interviewer. We didn't even get to discussing my resume until 10 minutes into the interview, and I suggest starting off with casual banter and small talk. They've been interviewing all day and honestly don't want you to spout off all your accomplishments like a robot. Wear a nice suit to the interview! Nothing expensive, but I've noticed they tend to pick people that are put together. I had a second interview at the office, where they gave a presentation and led me around the office. I had a "friend" with me the whole day who hung out with me and led me to different interviews. I talked to 3 people total, 2 managers and one partner. I especially loved speaking with the partner, and it was the same enjoyable conversation about work-life-balance, and our mutual interests outside work and school. They take you to lunch, as well. I got a call on the way home from the partner that I'd gotten accepted to the program, and heard 2 weeks later that I'd been accepted to the National program in Chicago.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in San Jose, CA (took 2 days)
Very nice and friendly staff and management. Started with on campus interview which also included a pre-interview dinner at a very nice restaurant. Second and last interview is on site interview in San Jose. They flew me down and booked a room for me and the rest at the Hilton. Super easy interview. Ran through every item on my resume and a few standard behavior question. Eg: Tell me a time when there's a conflict among your team? Got a call shortly after interview that I got a offer. Accepted it right away :)

Of all the Big 4s, PwC has a very friendly environment for their interviewees. They do their best to make sure the interviewees are aware of what they are going into. All questions were behavioral.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in San Jose, CA (took 4 months)
I was first interviewed by a recruiter after which I didn't hear back from them for around 4 months then I was scheduled to speak with a Manager on the phone who asked me Behavioral/situational type questions. After a week I was scheduled to personally meet a Manager at their office who again asked me behavioral type questions, two weeks later they called me again for a personal interview which was with a Partner who had general questions and a senior consultant who had some technical questions.
Recruiters call you back & give you the interviewers' feedback after every interview.
The interviewers were calm, knowledgeable & friendly. Their website has loads of information & very user friendly. At the end of an interview do ask the interviewer some questions based on your position or information found on their website.
Pwc makes arrangements for flights/hotel for an out of state candidate to attend the personal interview.
Pwc is extremely professional & their staff is very well mannered and have the right answers for all your questions. Their background check process is fast and simple. Their consultants at the 800-Pwc are well informed and are always helpful giving you the right solution every time. Pwc makes sure the candidate has every piece of information he/she needs before joining them.
Overall the way Pwc conducts the interviews, gives feedbacks, informs the candidates is very WELL ORGANIZED and I have never seen any company come close to the way Pwc perform their operations.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in San Jose, CA (took a day)
I was interviewed with PWC for the internship when they were hiring students from San Jose State. Infortunately, the guy who was interviewing me didn't show any interest at all in what I was telling him. Later, all of my classmates who interviewed with him, told me they had exactly the same experience. No one of us got into second round. I simply don't understand - why have an interview when you are not interested in hiring??

Interviewed Oct 2011 in San Jose, CA (took a day)
I applied this position online and received an email to set up a phone interview about two weeks later. The phone interview was with the hiring manager who was really nice and easy going. The interview last 30 mins long and was all about basic questions such as say sth about your precious job. I didn't get the chance for in-house interview since I didn't perform well in the phone interview.

While a temp I interviewed for a couple positons. The first interview was with managers. The second interview was with people I would support. The people were friendly. They asked lots of questions about how you handle situations. This is a multi cultural group of people who work well together. The dress is business.
