Interviewed Jun 2010 in Vancouver, BC (Canada) (took a day)
they offer me a free flight from Victoria to Vancouver and I met a Manager and a Partner. I talked with each of them for half an hour. The partner talked more than I did. They are really nice.

Interviewed May 2010 in Vancouver, BC (Canada) (took 2 days)
Phone interviews went well. The recruiter informed me that I did not get the position, however there would be a couple of similar roles posted at a later date. True to her word, she emailed me once these new openings were posted. I applied for both. Correspondence was going very well. I was finally asked if I could be up in Vancouver by early June. I was relocating from the US to Canada. Of course I could be up there. I told the recruiter that I would just need a formal offer letter for my work visa processing. Silence for days...then weeks. I emailed & emailed her with no response. FINALLY - MID JUNE...I received (what seemed like) a form letter from her. It stated that they'd decided on a local candidate and did not want to be hung up with immigration issues. I've since given up on Canada. Their work visa process is a double-edged sword. One cannot obtain a visa without a job offer...one won't get an offer without a visa in hand.
