I applied online and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at PwC in August 2013.
Interview Details – A. Contacted by Recruiter on Linked In B. Submitted an application online C. Interviewed by phone with HR D. Interviewed by phone with Director. The recruiters and HR were very on top of things and were very friendly. The directors I interviewed were much less so. They always called late which cut our interview short, and spent a lot more time talking about themselves and their practice than asking me questions and allowing me to showcase my accomplisments. I was appying from a competitor BIg 4 consulting commpany- and the directors were much more interested in asking me about the competitor IT Strategy shop I worked at. They wanted to know in painstaking detail the business goals and strategies, and customers. To which I basically explained them the generalities but told that if they wanted to know specifics, they'd have to bring me into the company and hire me. I was annoyed that they didnt let me talk about my accomplihments and skills and only wanted to know about the business intel, which i wasnt about to give them for free. It looked to me that they were not really interested in hiring anyone but were much more intent on fishshing for free competitor business intelligence. The position I interviewed for has been open for more than 6 months in my city,- so I think they are trying to get as many people to apply as they can to milk for intelligence. If they were really interested to fill the position, someone would have been hired by now.
