Interview Questions
Accepted Offer – Interviewed in New York, NY Feb 2012 – Reviewed Apr 14, 2012
Interview Details – The first round was a preliminary phone interview, which I would describe as pretty simple. The interviewer just wanted to make sure that I was actually interested in the position. The in-person interview consisted of 5 independent interviews with various members of the staff - HR rep, partner, senior manager, director, and managing director. None were particularly difficult, as long as you maintain a conversational atmosphere, rather than a strict question-answer.

Interview Details – I was contacted by an HR associate from California regarding a resume I submitted some months ago and she asked me if I would be interested in interviewing for an internship in NY. About a week later, I had an interview. The first hour was just talking to what they call a "friend" and they just get lunch with you to ease you nerves before the interview. After that there were 3 behavioral interviews in a row, about 30 minutes, 1 with a partner, 1 with a director, and 1 with a manager. I would advise interviewees to try to relax and make the interview a conversation. They just want to see that you are someone they would want to work with. And ask a lot of questions as well.

Interview Details – Initially I had a phone interview, and was told back that I would hear back in a week. Exactly a week later, I was asked to come in for a mini "superday" at the New York office with a couple of other candidates. There I had one on one interviews with a Partner, Director, and Manager. My first interview was with the partner and it was pretty laid back. He wants to see if you would be a good fit and if you could add value to the group. My interview with the director was the most specific and I was faced with a good amount of technical questions regarding the group I was interviewing for. Also there were a good amount of behavioral questions as well. My interview with the manager was similar with that of the director as I was again faced with some technical questions and behavioral questions. I was called the next day with an offer. All in all I would make sure you know specifics about the group you are going for and be able to use your experiences to show how you can add value. Remember to stay calm and be yourself.

Interview Details – My interview started around eleven with a nice lunch and presentation from the company. It is just some general information about the interview and intern program. During the lunch, the company would assign one of their new entrants to lead you through the whole interviw process. They are all very nice, so try to ask any question you might have before walking into the interviewer's office. I had three vack to back interviews, but they are all behavior questions. It is more like a conversation, so be confident, nothing to be scared of
