Interviewed Oct 2009 in San Diego, CA (took 5 days)
Prepare to be interviewed in a round table, ~7-8 engineers will fire off questions. A Manager will be there as well to see how well you manage questions, and deal with pressure. Interview lasts 2-3 hours. Recently they have liked to hire people who are team players rather than pure independent folks.

Negotiation Details
The offers given are done on a computer, you can "accept" or "deny". Negotiate first with the hiring manager, because afterwards the computer system will only allow you to accept or deny the job. HR will refuse to negotiate and tell you it's a final offer. It's very difficult to adjust your pay to the market afterwards when you are an employee, don't make the mistake to wait and discuss about pay, do it before the rate goes to HR.
Other Details
I got the interview through an Employee Referral and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview, a 1:1 Interview, a Group/Panel Interview, a Skills Test and a Background Check.

Interviewed Mar 2012 in San Diego, CA (took a day)
This interview is terrible. The interviewer called me 15 minutes before the scheduled time, and I was not at the phone. When I called back, he didn't know what to say and it became so embarrassing. Actually, I didn't even remember when do I applied for such a position and I got a phone interview...
The interviewer kept asking me low-level hardware debugging questions, such as "what is CPU exception/what is system call"...
I was applying for software development positions, but this group did major hardware debugging, which is rather challenging. I think this is the major reason they rejected me, but I am also wondering why they selected me for an interview...

Interviewed Jul 2010 in San Diego, CA (took a day)
Mainly just a phone interview. Interview started late but did go about an hour. The interview was with a director who did all of the talking although there were 4 other people in the room at the time. Phone interview was typical, simple questions about yield and such and some device questions. Was told at the end of the interview that they would get back to me in about 1-2 weeks. Presently waiting for their return call to schedule an onsite interview.
