Interviewed Jan 2012 (took a day)
I interviewed with five engineers in the order of position level ( from engineer to senior staff engineer). They mostly asked technical questions in the applied area. They are not so difficult (mostly basic signal processing questions). They also asked me to talk a lot about past experiences.
Overall they were friendly. However, as we go with people at higher position, they tend to be quite blunt (which is opposite to what I expected). After finishing all interview sessions, I did not feel like I work with them.
The work environment and benefits (mentioned by the recruiting staff) were awesome.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in San Diego, CA (took 4+ weeks)
I had two phone interviews, then on-site interview. Seven people gave me 45min interview, mainly on my past projects, their projects, basic knowledge of C, image processing. I think I answered all the questions correctly and I have deep knowledge of their field, but they rejected me. Whatever, I don't want to work with some people who don't have corresponding ability with the titles.

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took 4 weeks)
The phone interview went over my resume and basic technical questions about the theory of DSP. Some computer science questions about sorting. Ended phone interview with a brain teaser.
The on site interview was a panel . Met with an HR person, then 5 engineers/managers who asked very technical questions such as writing computer code and explaining sampling theory.

Interviewed Nov 2011 in Boulder, CO (took 1 week)
I interviewed for a half day with a manager and 4 engineers.
The manager worked hard to sell me on the position.
The engineers spoke with me about what I've done, what they do, and we talked some technical issues so they could assess my understanding of the skills required to be successful in the job.
It was a long, but enjoyable, day

Interviewed Oct 2011 in San Diego, CA (took a day)
One phone interview firstly, then onsite interview with 7 persons. The questions include using MUX to design logic gates, verification problems, coding with Verilog and C and DSP.
Sometimes I don't need to write the complete code, just describe my idea. As a big company, they requires more and some of the questions are difficult. But as a PhD, I don't think it is a good way to ask me so many general ASIC design questions. I can perform better in more specific professional questions in my research area.
