Interviewed Feb 2012 in San Diego, CA (took a day)
The interview was good. The person who interviewed me was a Senior person at Qualcomm with 17 years of experience. He asked me to explain a particular project which I did in my Masters. Then asked certain basic questions regarding the software that I was using for that particular project. Overall was good. Waiting for the reply.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in San Diego, CA (took a day)
Initial communication and interview planning were good, although QUALCOMM took weeks to contact me. The interview was all day, mostly technical, with 5 different Engineers. Most interview questions were appropriate for the position applied = ATE Test Engineer. Personal advice to others: A lot of questions came from the resumee.

Interviewed Jan 2011 in San Diego, CA (took 2 weeks)
2 phone interviews. Person apologized for not having a chance to look at my resume before hand because he was busy. Asked me a bunch of questions on hardware and things irrelevant for what I was applying to, then dumbed down the questions significantly to the point I was being treated like a child. 2nd interviewer was far more standard with traditional interview questions more in line with software engineering interview.

Interviewed Jul 2010 in San Diego, CA (took a day)
I had a prior internship with Qualcomm. Within 2 months of the end of my internship, Qualcomm notified me that I was selected for a full-time hire. They performed a background check (no drug test) and let my previous experience speak for itself. To my knowledge, Qualcomm is great at rolling over interns. They trust in their initial recruitment and ask the majority of their interns to come back as long as their exit interview was satisfactory.
The exit interview at the end of the internship is a discussion with your manager. They provide feedback on your performance and you have the chance to ask any questions, similar to a one-on-one.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in San Diego, CA (took a day)
From the phone interview through onsite interview, I interviewed with about 8 different engineers. Questions covered fundamental topics in DSP, wireless communications, linear algebra, and even algorithms. Spent 80% of the time on the whiteboard and was also asked technical questions during lunch.
I'm not going to disclose the specific questions asked, but if you know are well-grounded in the fundamentals and have good communication skills, you will be fine.

Interviewed Sep 2009 in San Diego, CA (took a day)
I had an initial phone interview with the hiring manager. Once I passed the phone screening, I had an on-site interview with most of the staff members in a panel format. I had an offer within a week from the on-site interview. Very impressed with the professionalism of everyone involved.

Interviewed Dec 2011 in San Diego, CA (took 2 days)
I was interviwed for this position last week. I initially got a phone call from the hiring manager and after speaking to me for 30 mins called me onsite.
The onsite interview was tiring. I was interviwed by 11 folks !...2 HR and 9 technical. Everyone asked me about my past internship and current expereinces in IC fab and assembly along with statistics analaysis. I answered most questions well but did flounder on a few.
I was primarily a recent college graduate working in semiconductor industry and had noe xperience as a SQE. I was kind of drilled on that but tried to convince them how my skills could be used for this posn. Overall it was good and am keeping fingers crossed !
