I applied online - interviewed at Quest Diagnostics in January 2013.
Interview Details – Apply on Company website only. Expect to wait 6 weeks or more if selected for an interview. If not selected for an interview,, you will not be contacted. Usually 2 person interview committee or a direct supervisor for some lower grade positions.
Negotiation Details – Job offers have little room for negotiation, it is based on a computer program with experience in the job being sought guiding the offer salary which is ususlly in the middle of the range for 8 years to 5 years experience.
I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Quest Diagnostics in November 2012.
Interview Details –
HR of Quest contacted me about a week after I submitted my resume, and they just confirmed the first on-site interview time with me.
Regarding the interview, the front-desk staff asked for my offer letter and photo identification before they informed the interviewer. Interview last 30 min or so. And most talks focused on my in-class project which is strongly related to this position and my interesting undergraduate activity experience which has nothing to do with the job. Questions about programming were also raised. To my surprise, nothing about my previous internships(they are not relevant anyway).
Interview Question – Nothing Answer Question
Negotiation Details – I requested to postpone the start date and they agreed.

I applied online and the process took 1+ week - interviewed at Quest Diagnostics.
Interview Details – Very detailed over the phone, made me feel like a good fit. Then when I got in front of the hiring manager, she made me feel like I was rushing for a sorority! Apparently my lack of jewelry, make up and hairspray doesn't give a good impression! I did dress professional and am a true professional in my work, but the interview was a joke. the minute the manager started talking to me I could tell she had made up her mind.
Interview Question – Unsure.... Answer Question
I applied online and the process took 2 weeks - interviewed at Quest Diagnostics in September 2012.
Interview Details – I was hired prior to Quest Diagnostics purchasing our lab. The interview process now is efficient, as HR will not contact potential employees unless they fit the criteria necessary for the position. They will then forward qualified applicants to the manager to review. In our area, our manager spends hours in each interview. I usually feel sorry for the people having to waste as many as five hours listening to her!
Interview Question – Probably describing a difficult position I have been in and how I may have handled it differently. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – The only thing negotiable was the hourly rate. They quoted me an amount that was only $.50 more than I was making. I countered with another $1.50 an hour on top of that and they accepted.
I applied through an employee referral and the process took a day - interviewed at Quest Diagnostics in September 2012.
Interview Details – I came from another location and the timing was great because they were in the process of filling a position.
Interview Question – None Answer Question
I applied through a recruiter and the process took 3 weeks - interviewed at Quest Diagnostics in September 2012.
Interview Details – The HR recruiter contaced me. I had not applied for a position with this company but I was curious about the job. I first interviewed with the HR recruiter and was then set up with a phone interview and followed by an in-person interview with the District Manager. Both went well. The next interview was with a panel of 4 people all of whom were in management and with the company many years, One of the panelists was the regional sales manager. The district manager was supposed to be there but he was not. Everyone on the panel was very professional and warm. The final interview consists of a power point presentation of yourself and why you are the best candidate and a role play of one of their products ( which I thought went well given I am not trained on their products). After the interview, I was told by the regional that I would be contacted by the end of the week. It all seemed very positive. There was no contact at all. Not even by HR in the form of the thank you but we are pursuing another candidate letter. In fact this position remains open today. I think that is absolutely unprofessional not to contact a candidate who they interviewed 4 times Really with all the talent out there today needing a job they can't find anyone? I came to the interview with an excellent track record. I also thought it unusual to ask for 5 professional references with 2 managers. At my level companies usually don;t ask and I have worked for the largest and the best of them . Of course you are only going to give the perfect ones. However ,managers at my companies will not risk their jobs and go against company policy lest they lose their jobs or lose out on a layoff package for not following company policy (that's the climate today). Overall, the interview process was very good until the end so Iam giving it a negative because there was absolutely no follow up after 4 interviews.
Interview Question – Presenting a power point on yourself. Usually I am asked to present on some topic Otherwise it was pretty standard Answer Question
I applied in-person and the process took a day - interviewed at Quest Diagnostics.
Interview Details – Dress for success and be on time. Be honest and smile. Brush up on knowledge of work qualifications and skills you haven't used since you left college. Follow up with Thank you letters and share an experience involving your interpersonal communication skills. Getting along with colleague, clients and patients is paramount. Sell yourself like the company will improve having you on board.
Interview Question – Always have an answer for why should we hire you and why would you want to work here. Answer Question
Negotiation Details – They offered and I accepted because I knew they give annual raises based on performance etc and I knew my work efficiency and accuracy would always ensure a raise. Plus the pay was very adequate for my experience.
