QA Lead Interview

QA Lead

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 1 week - interviewed at Quickoffice.

Interview Details – Phone screening, a half-day onsite with potential team members and senior developers, and a 1:1 with a member of the exec team. They moved fast and asked good questions. The phone screening was a typical screening. The half-day onsite included technical questions, personality and culture fit, creativity, and trying to understand if the candidate was someone who tried to improve their skillset based on their own ambition.

Interview Question – What factors would you use to decide if a piece of software is ready to ship?   Answer Question

Vice President/Director/Senior Manager, Engineering

The process took 1 week - interviewed at Quickoffice in August 2010.

Interview Details – Combination of personality, background, situational questions, white board architectural scenarios. Very fair.
Turned out not to be a good fit. Dave was refreshingly up front about his hesitations. Wouldn't mind giving them a second chance down the road.

Interview Question – How would you implement X application (to include client-side, high-availability server side, details on the server farms and security, etc.)   Answer Question
