I applied through a staffing agency and the process took 3+ months - interviewed at Quintiles in March 2009.

Interview Details – Takes a long time to get through the interview process in NC. Best way to connect is to know someone who can refer you for a position or share your information directly with hiring managers. Managers and agencies appear to manage recruiting/hiring process instead of Human Resources.

Interview Question – Most unexpected part of the interview proces was the number of people you need to meet with and the number of times you need to connect.   View Answer

Negotiation Details – Ask for the high end salary for role. Once you are hired, increases are only recognizable if you add multiple year increments.

Interview Details – Multiple phone interviews w/ HR, hiring manager; in person interview with peers and hiring manager. Onboarding was extremely unorganized in Raleigh-don't expect much from it.

Interview Details – Streamlined process, several interviews with practical real life experience being most valued. Technical credentials are referenced and confirmed. The interviews are relaxed but several people will take notes and confirm your responses. The culture of team approvals for new hires indicates a strong desire to have consensus in hiring. Follow up by HR is sometimes spotty but on the whole professional and timely.
