Interviewed Oct 2009 in Denver, CO (took 3 days)
I was contacted by a recruiter via phone call & follow-up email. We had a brief discussion, he reached out to the hiring manager & I had a interview set up the following day.
Interview was very brief, 1 hr. The interview read my CV very closely and he wanted to speak to a few of the positions I'd held. Conversation was casual and very comfortable.
Recruiter called back in 2 days, stated there was no need for a follow-up, as the manager wanted to extend an offer.
Advise:
1. Dress professional regardless of position. (I was in a suit, hiring manager was business casual)
2. Know your CV (resume) through & through. Be able to speak to each job and how you personally added value. Be able to fill in the blanks.
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
I dealt directly with the recruiter concerning negotiations. The offer came in low, but as I felt the client wanted to fill the position quickly I ended up asking directly what the pay range was.
Then stated that would accept at the highest dollar amount of that range.
Could not negotiate further vacation time, etc.
Other Details
I got the interview through a Recruiter and the interview consisted of a Phone Interview and a 1:1 Interview.

Interviewed Sep 2009 (took 1 week)
I responded to online posting of job, submitted resume and was contacted by the district manager 5 days later. He was traveling to the location and holding interviews the following day. Didn't seem to have flexibility due to the travel and late call. Used a Targeted Selection interview guide- which is a behavior based interview program that I used in my most recent job. The interview took about 40 minutes. I know he skipped a number of questions- which to me meant he already had an decision in mind.
Interview Questions
Reason for Declining
I found that during the interview someone from the current team as an internal candidate applied and was being interviewed for the position. As Kiosk manager- you are responsible for sales performance- and I knew the internal candidate would likely be miffed over not getting the promotion.

Interviewed Jul 2008 in Denver, CO (took 4 weeks)
Interview process was fairly lengthy. Had a total of 4 interviews. Met with VP, and then with three directors, each a 1 on 1 meeting. I believe the meetings with the Directors were to identify where I would best fit within the company. Then finally interviewed with my current boss.

Interviewed Mar 2009 in Denver, CO (took 4 weeks)
Typical behavioral-based interview questions. Received an online, multiple choice test first before in-person interview. This online test consisted of the usual questions; how would you rate yourslef in various areas, what would you former supervisor say about you and how would they rate you in those areas. Also, questions like how do you plan your day, etc.

Interviewed Jun 2008 in Bellevue, WA (took 4 weeks)
An old friend who worked for the company let me know there were a few locations that were short staffed. He recommended I email a specific district manager to confirm which positions were open and at what locations. Normally, this information is available on the website, but my contact explained that the manager would know of upcoming vacancies before it hit the internet. In the end, I still had to apply via the corporate website just like everyone else.
They generally do in person interviews, but mine was over the phone due to a conflict I couldn't get out of. They asked primarily behavioral questions. You know, the "tell me about a time when you blah blah blah". The best advice I can give is to think about the question, be honest, and use your real experience to back up your answers. My interviewer seemed a bit distracted, and after a while I wasn't 100% sure they were listening closely. This might be a tactic to get you to ramble on though, so watch for that.
The interview took about 45 minutes. I was told they would be interviewing other candidates and would hear from Human Resources regarding the outcome. It took about 2 weeks for me to hear back - the HR people were very nice, explained everything, and weren't phased by all of my questions. They were the most welcoming group I worked with until I went to training.

Negotiation Details
I tried to negotiate. Basically I told the HR person to give me 24 hours to decide on the offer, and I used that time to research it using PayScale.com and a few other sites. The position I applied for was a union position so there were certain wage ranges that had to be considered. Advice? Go for it. Make a convincing argument (experience, commute, benefits, etc) - the worst they'll say is no. I was able to go up a range based on my experience and achievements in sales. Also, make sure your resume and references backs up any claim you make!
