Interviewed Jul 2011 (took a day)
In the beginning, I just wanted to have some working experience (I have none previously).
I went into a bank, wearing suits with my resume, and spoke directly to the front desk assistant. I told her I would like to speak with the manager.
Waited for around 20 minutes, reviewed my resume and the company's profile. Then manager arrived and we had interview one on one.
She read through my resume and asked simple questions as why you want to be a customer representative (same as a teller), and some background information.
Most importantly, she asked if I had any sales experience, even as in through volunteer experience.
She said customer representative task is mainly to do sales, not just facilitate people's banking experience. Said they want more customers and increase more sales through selling bank's products and services.
Manager was helpful in giving a lot of information, though I didn't expect any offer or had one.

Interviewed Sep 2010 in Montreal, QC (Canada) (took 3 weeks)
Starts by a telephone contact interview in both languages to asses the veracity of resume, skills and language proficiency.
2nd phone interview totally behavioral.
Face to face panel interview very similar to the 2nd phone interview.
The recruiting team is awesome. They are very professionals and really want to find the best candidates.
The managers do not share that professionalism.

Interviewed Aug 2008 in Vancouver, BC (Canada) (took 2 weeks)
The interview process consisted of going over the job description.
There was two interviews for the position. The first interview was conducted through the telephone where an HR manager asked a variety of behavioural questions. The HR manager went over my resume and we talked over in details about my previous experience. Questions in general depends on the experience of the candidate. General questions consisted of: 1) "Name a time where you provided exceptional customer service" 2) "Tell me a little bit about yourself" 3) "What do you know about the company"
If they see a right fit between you and the company, the manager at the branch will contact you to conduct a face to face interview that is much or less the same as the telephone interview. My interview consisted of having two managers ask me questions. They will also ask about prior sales experience. Good luck hope it helped.

Interviewed Aug 2009 (took a day)
it was an assessment at the mississauga office. The assessment is a virtual program of a company called secure secure securities system and l did very well but to my dissapointment l was told that l didn't pass. I've heard a lot of concern over the rbc financial drive office that assessment result r being manipulated for candidates of choice and it did happened to me. l was really disapointed and l was able to get a fantastic offer from another after they put me thru skill set and assessment that was harder than rbc financila drive test. I did realy well and this really convinced that rbc recruitment process is not transparent.
