Interviewed Jan 2012 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took a day)
Initial communication from RBC HR was excellent. Interview was very professional and the Hiring Manager was personable. Came very prepared with having done a meticulous review of the job description and a review of the LinkedIn profile of the Hiring Manager. Awaiting next round of interview(s). They are fair but thorough in their hiring process. Location is central CBD.

Interviewed Feb 2012 in New York, NY (took a day)
We first applied online through submitting resume and cover letter. After several weeks we got the response about doing a trading analysis on paper and send it back. Later came the email informing of the next round. Next round happened on site where we met the people from the company the day before. Then the interview for half a day.

Interviewed Jul 2011 (took a day)
In the beginning, I just wanted to have some working experience (I have none previously).
I went into a bank, wearing suits with my resume, and spoke directly to the front desk assistant. I told her I would like to speak with the manager.
Waited for around 20 minutes, reviewed my resume and the company's profile. Then manager arrived and we had interview one on one.
She read through my resume and asked simple questions as why you want to be a customer representative (same as a teller), and some background information.
Most importantly, she asked if I had any sales experience, even as in through volunteer experience.
She said customer representative task is mainly to do sales, not just facilitate people's banking experience. Said they want more customers and increase more sales through selling bank's products and services.
Manager was helpful in giving a lot of information, though I didn't expect any offer or had one.

Interviewed Sep 2011 in Toronto, ON (Canada) (took 1 week)
I did not apply to a posting, but had been referred by someone. I had a longer (75 minute) meeting with centralized recruiting, which represented corporate groups.
I was a bit surprised to find it was with two people in the room -- that had not been explained to me in advance, but I went with it. The 2nd person was just observing and didn't ask any questions in the end.
Overall I thought the discussion was good, more of a 'profiling' chat than an interview but it was conducted well. In the end they came back and said nothing was available at my level at this time, with no other feedback.

Starts by a telephone contact interview in both languages to asses the veracity of resume, skills and language proficiency.
