Approached on Linked in for the interview. Had a couple of telephonic interviews and then I was called onsite for the interview. The trip was well arranged, and everything was smooth and easy. On site there were 5 different interviews held, most of them centered around typical SAS related knowledge.

Interviewed Mar 2012 (took 3 weeks)
Invited to interview by email and accepted. Attended office and had 90 minutes competency based interview, which seemed to go very well. This was followed by a one hour test of ability to prioritise information. Several pages of data were to be read, and summarised as an executive briefing and background notes on the topic. This exercise actually took less than the allocated hour. Received the rejection by email with no feedback.

Interviewed Feb 2010 (took a day)
What an incredibly scary environment!! Management by fear! Why someone would willingly work here is unknown. I guess the ones that stay love to promote such a culture and feel at home in it. Honestly, life is too short!

Interviewed Jan 2012 (took a day)
I applied through a fast track event for the operations summer internship. Went to an open day event at their London Office and was then fast tracked to the final assessment center. The interview was mainly competency based. Questions were most related: Team work (give me an example when you have worked in a team to successfully complete a project), Leadership etc.
People seemed quite friendly to be honest, seemed like a nice working environment.

Interviewed Jan 2012 in Singapore (Singapore) (took a day)
They are hiring because they have lots of 'staff movements' and are understaffed. They are doing a bit of everything, including support, development and gathering requirement. The interview included 1:1 with two technical resources from the team and the line manager, followed by a written skill test that covers a few questions on business requirement, support model and writing pseudo codes for a scenario of retrieving records from database tables. The 1:1 session with the line manager immediately made me feel regret to go for that interview, and I know for sure it's not the type of environment and work culture that I would like to go for. I sense that they may be doing a lot of fire fighting on production environment, and small developments at the same time which are usually to handle urgent user requests. I doubt on the team spirit as well from the way they described about the team growth opportunity, internal or cross training approach within the team, and how the line manager values standardization of development process. The line manager sounds and looks to be unapproachable too. The written skill test is not difficult however it does not make too much sense as most of the questions can actually be discussed during the interview sessions and I don't see a point why they were made in the form of written test.

Interviewed Feb 2011 (took 1+ week)
The whole process wasn't too stressful. First round interview was mostly technicals with a handful of fit questions (the usual, why banking, strengths, weaknesses etc). Second round included three separate interviews with more senior members. These were more focused on fit and higher level banking knowledge. I felt well treated, but did not want to join given the volatility the bank was experiencing
