Interview Question – None of the questions were too difficult or unexpected, the DM seemed to be following the corporate template pretty closely.   Answer Question

Sales Representative Interview

Sales Representative
Indianapolis, IN

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 6 days - interviewed at RadioShack in June 2010.

Interview Details – You get put into a pool of applicants and hope that the store manager happens to find your resume. If you get a call back or email, be prepared to answer the typical retail job questions. Are you able to work weekends? Do you have previous customer service experience? The usual stuff. After a first interview with the store manager, you will then typically interview with either the district manager of the location or another store manager in the district. After that you are on your way to hopefully being hired

Interview Question – Really aren't going to be any that will floor people. You might have the occasional person ask you to sell them something just to see how well your interaction skills are.   Answer Question

Assistant Store Manager Interview

Assistant Store Manager
Annapolis, MD

I applied through an employee referral and the process took 4 weeks - interviewed at RadioShack in December 2011.

Interview Details – They use the "cattle call" method so popular with multi-level management corporations these days. You may get interviewed by the Store Manager, a manager from another store, the Division Manager, or the DM's current toady of choice. The interview can be very job specific, or very vague, depending on who does it. The main goal is to see how much sh*t you will take.

Negotiation Details – There is no negotiation. They pay and schedule from a plan that has nothing to do with an individual's ability or requirements.
