Interviewed Apr 2012 (took 3 weeks)
Walked in to store asked if hiring; said yes. Filled out online application. Must have done well because Store Manager after looking at my paperwork did their standard test: Try to sell me your cell phone. Did ok on that. Went to see District Manager. Guy realized I was overqualified for position, offered to me immediately. All that was very well and nice. I informed District Manager up front that I was only available for 3 months as I am going to grad school soon.
Here's where it headed south. I called the Store Manager and he pretended to send in my paperwork. Waited a week as instructed. Next week he said "Oh I must have messed up your paperwork" and proceeded to actually fill out paperwork. I sent the paperwork myself via FedEx. Store Manager lied again and said he was sending it overnight, but when I looked at the envelope it said :"Ground" . Liar. Waited another week. Store Manager did not get back to me as promised. The third week I got fed up and returned to District Manager. He told me coldly that the store manager would call me back. Store Manager finally admitted that he would not hire me as I was only available for 3 months. Basically I was told I would be hired and was lied to by the Managers. This also wasted my time looking for another job. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY IT IS FALLING APART AND THEY ARE ALL LIARS!

Interviewed Jul 2010 in Gadsden, AL (took a day)
I was brought in by a district manager and asked to recount stories of how my past experiences would affect my performance at Radioshack. I cited several examples from my 5 year military tenure and was treated with respect and actually "heard" by the manager. I was very appreciative of the open format.

Interviewed Jun 2010 in Stamford, CT (took 5 days)
I applied online after a visit to a local store. It took about 3-4 business day before I received an email asking me to come in a take a brief skills test. The test only took about and Hour and it was administered at the district managers office in town. Simple math and arithmetic were measured and by the end of the week i was asked to come in and meet the manager of a surrounding store. I was hired on the spot, there was really nothing to it.

Interviewed May 2011 (took a day)
Former Store Manager so I know the ins and outs of the hiring process. Basically your scored on the application you submit... I mean it predicts your moods, personality, possible work style and how you would fit on a team. We would basically make sure your score in at least a 90 or above on a 100 point scale, review how you were analyzed on the application and give you a call if meet the requirements. The background check takes FOREVER to complete and so does the training... training is usually a week or 2 long to complete.
Interview Questions
Negotiation Details
No negotiation, set pay rate depending on your market... what ever the minimum is, that what you will receive; but you can definitely compensate with the commision possibility.

Interviewed Oct 2010 (took 3 days)
Apply online. Called the manager to show interest. Received a call back for interview. The interview went well just asked about prior work experience and so on. DM wanted an interview showed up the next day to office. From the beginning I could tell the DM had little to no respect for employees because she never showed for the interview she set up! Best advice is to show professionalism be charismatic and show intiative!
