Interviewed Oct 2011 in Skokie, IL (took 1 week)
Recruiter contacted me in regards to a position I applied for online. After seeing my resume, she thought I might be a good fit so she referred my application to the national sales manager. Most unprofessional and worst interview I have ever had. From the beginning of the call when he realized I didn't have the sales experience he was looking for, he was very arrogant and rude. He seemed to scoff at all my answers. I professional (and nervous) and answered his questions to the best of my ability. By the end of the call when it was obvious I was wasting his time, he asked "do you have any questions?" So, to save everyone time and because I knew I wasn't getting the position, I said "no," he replied "so you think you know all the answers??" I didn't know how to respond. I absolutely cannot believe that I considered working for this company and was treated this way in an interview. Thanks to him, Rand McNally no longer has a good reputation in my mind let alone my business. Funny thing is even the recruiter warned me before the call that he can be a bit "intimidating" and to make sure I am very "to the point" with my answers. One more loyal customer for MapQuest!!
