Interviewed Sep 2011 in Dallas, TX (took 3 days)
Applied via university website, received 1st round interview, candidates heard back the next day about final round interviews.
You need to know as much as possible about the specific group you're interviewing for, my group was energy and the interviewer was very proud that their group contributed the most revenue to Raymond James and that they've never had anyone leave for another firm.

Interviewed Feb 2011 (took 2 weeks)
I applied for the position via Raymond James' career website. A week or so after applying, I received a call from a recruiter at the corporate office in Florida and set up a phone interview for the next day. It was a very typical phone interview--about 30 minutes long, and I was asked basic questions about past experience and my salary expectations. An in-person interview with a hiring manager was set up for later in the week at the local office.
The in-person interview lasted approximately one hour. It was a relatively relaxed interview environment. The position was explained in detail. After being asked some basic questions about my background, I was asked a lot of hypothetical questions (ex: what would I do if a client called in and was upset about something). I was also many questions geared toward determining how comfortable I would be handling accounts worth large amounts of money. I left the interview feeling confident about my answers and was told I would hear from the recruiter within a few days, who would then explain the next steps in the interview process.
After a week had passed without hearing anything, I attempted to get a hold of them to no avail. Ended up never hearing back from the company.
